Would've rather kept Strijk in and given Ebert more time in WAFL. One good performance and he gets straight back in after other players perform at a high level for week after week and don't get in. Doesn't seem very fair for me.

Was terrible.
Firstly, I disagree.

Secondly, the issue I have is that Ebert, for example, has been played consistently despite some very, very poor patches of football, gets dropped and plays one good game, then is straight back in the side. Pretty much the exact opposite of how Swift is treated by the selection committee.

In the end he is playing professional sport. He was given a game and didn't deliver so he can not have hard fealings. This is a must win away for us.
Agree in part. It is definitely a must win, but I think if a player is consistently averaging 30+ possessions in the WAFL, they should at least be given 2-3 games once brought in so they can adjust to the tempo and try to deliver.

I would hope the same be shown to all players, Stevens etc. One game in and then dropped doesn't sit well with me (Weedon, Strijk, Swift etc) as it doesn't give kids a decent chance to prove themselves.

Probably says a lot about how hard Ebert works on the track and is respected around the club, rather than work on a horrible hair-style for months and cough the ball up in the WAFL.

So basically you're suggesting Swift isn't getting games because the club doesn't like his haircut?

perfect!

get kerr and butler back in ASAP because they're definitly best 22.

Then strijk didn't perform to the standard that would have been expected (i know, its harsh cause he only played a quarter and a bit) but with good depth and pressure in the WAFL this year that is the cut-throat nature to be expected (which is good as it lifts expectations).

Ebert played well enough to earn his spot back and im sure as others have mentioned koby would of been given a run had he not played monday (thats what helped ebert)

Also seems good to give makenzie a run or two in the WAFL before getting him back in for match fitness, to get his touch back etc (and considering schofield is playing well enough now on the talls i think its a good thing to do).

With the coaches weighing all this up, i am very happy with the changes they have made this week :thumbsu:

Team looks very good!

anyway thats my take on it :)

Absolute rubbish with Ebert, a player will never learn if they get straight back in after 1 good game in WAFL.

It's bullshit, players like Stevens, who I know couldn't play this week as of the 5 day break but even before that has been giving his all and getting results hasn't even had a shot yet. Same with Weedon and Swift.

Imagine McGinnity will play on either Dangerfield or Thompson, with A.Selwood taking the other. Hope Scooter actually gets a game to show his attacking side of football, quite unlikely however.

We just need to accept that with our coaching staff, as improved as they are, we are going to have to get used to Adam Selwood and Brad Ebert being in the side pretty much unless they get injured.
