Whilst I rate Matty Lappin, Carlton wouldn't let him go cheaply. Also, he is more interested in playing his rebounding HBF role again - we already have Macca for that - rather than the crumbing FP role we need.

Back to Medhurts, he is not a crumbing forward. He is more of a small target, mark and kick type of player. He also need the ball in his hands to be effective, doesn't apply much forward line pressure and is not overly versatile. I don't think Welsh and Medhurts could work in the same forward line. Medhurst is too inconsistent, when he is hot, he is red hot, when he is cold, he is stone cold. I say no thanks.

There are only 2 players from Freo that I would be interested in. Pavlich and Schammer. Anyone else I say meh.

As for Lappin, very good player at the wrong age and asking for a 3 year deal. I say no thanks.

I have heard one early draft rumour involving a Geelong player. Dont know whether I can give it any credence yet.

Mate, there all just rumours. This whole thread is inuendo and rumour, hence the title.

If you have heard something, it doesnt matter if its legit, its just another rumour. No one is going to hang you for sharing it even if its bull********.

Lets just say the rumour PerthCrow is talking about won't thrill many people. In fact the player in question has managed only a handful of games for Geelong this year. Just an average player we are talking about here. Nothing special.

I don't know. PerthCrow came to me a couple of weeks ago with the rumour asking me if I heard anything. I haven't so I can't say whether we are interested or not but if the trade did happen its won't be an earth shattering move. It will be purely for dpeth purposes and I doubt the player in question makes our best 22. He might turn out to be a decent run with player on taller midfielders but thats about it really.

No its not Ling either.

The difference between this case and Torney is that Torney was in Richmond's best 22 week in week out. He was a regular for them and one of their better players.

The player in question here is not even in their best 22 and has played about half a dozen odd games for them this year.

Errr yes he was. Saw an interview with Frawley this year where he said not convincing Thorney to stay /getting rid of Thorney one of his biggest failures as a coach. He went on to say when Thorney left it completely changed the structure/vibe of the team. It's amazing how the loss of a player, who supporters may think is irrelevant, hurts the structure/feeling within the team. I heard a similar thing happened to the Bulldogs when Monty and another player ( can't remember who ) left.

Mackie and Kingsley would be a good get as they would be a first pick player so my suggestion would be Daniel Foster who is not a house hold name and would be earth shattering news if he was traded.

Foster is a Port Magpies boy but so would the Power be interested?

Will agree with this Jason Torney was a house hold name and he played some super football for the Richmond Football Club and we were extremely lucky to get him.
