Toast Oh Captain my captain

Bloody good, and necessary, game from Murph. He needs to prove to the critics (and possibly to himself) that he can be 'introverted' and a good captain. Really good to see him leading by example and showing us again what he can do. I know he can be the player he wants to be AND the captain the club needs - this is definitely what we need from him.

Perfectly said. Im may or may not be a llittle tipsy but you've summed up my thoughts right there. If that doesnt silence his critics and give him a much needed confidence boost this season I dont know what will.

Dare I say it, he might just be recapturing his 2011 form that saw him win the AFLCA award. Probably his best fortnight of footy in 3 years and without Judd there to draw the tag away. He and Gibbs sure do look like an awesome combo at the moment. Pity Kreuz isn't there to complete the trinity.

Remember that thread asking him to hand over the captaincy
Murph has certainly turned it around .... For that matter so has the whole team. The way we are playing now is world apart from the first four weeks ... I'm sorry but Murphy had to take a lot of heat for that as the Captain. I gave him a huge spray ... we've hone that did hope he would turn it around, sign are positive but there is still a ways to go.

We are all CFC supporters and no one wants to be happy that they were right with something that is detrimental to the team. What we hope is that the men that put on the. Navel Blue walk out onto that field with pride for the jumper and give 100% that is all we ask win lose or draw.

We have gotten that the last two weeks. And Murphy has led brilliantly by example. Good on him, I am just as chuffed as everyone else.

Should he be captain? On the last two weeks form yes, overall this year it's gone to a maybe from a resounding no.

Do I want him to prove me wrong and win the Brownlow, norm smith, Colema and every other friggen award there is out there ..... Damn straight!

We are Carlton!

Murph's goal tells me that he's regained the touch of arrogance that made him great before he ran into Dangerfield. Maybe he's struggled balancing his individual game with the responsibilities of captaincy? Maybe it's been the run of injuries that's sapped his mojo? Whatever it's been, it's great to have him back.

This is what a captain needs to do the last two weeks Murphy has really stood up strong I have been a massive critic of Murphy but I bow down to our captain courageous.
