Does anybody remember an old cricket film c1970. From memory it was a doco drama featuring a veteran captain saving a match with a big innings. I saw it as a little kid as a curtain raiser at the pictures in about 1978. Probably was based in English county cricket. Please tell me I did see it and I'm not on some nostalgic daydream. Fulton's.

The only cricket film I'm aware of is The Final Test, from 1953.

Cheers mate. Yeah Iv had a good look through there. I don't think it's the 1953 film. It was only a short film. Thanks for replying.

No worries. From that list, I heartily recommend the episode of Dad's Army titled The Test. It co-stars Freddie Trueman. Very funny.

I will have a look at it.
I think I found where it was from.... Lords I think that's what it was called. There was another one like it on YouTube about na captain John Reids last test match. Maybe it was simply titled lords but they may have made quite a few......
