Forgot to say you need a 9Now account and have to log in, but its easy and quick to set up.

3/4 of the screen is an event and on right hand side at the moment you can click on either track events, women's triple jump and men's high jump. Sometimes there is commentary, sometimes there is none.

Most Olympic champions are. On the World Athletics world feed of past world champs and big events, there have been some shockers who add nothing. Gail Devers was hopeless. Jackie Joyner-Kersee wasn't much better, Cathy Freeman added very little when she has done stuff.

Bruce is class. Full stop. I miss him in AFL commentary. Good to see he is involved in horse racing. Great to see he is calling the athletics at world champs.

Reath easily clears 2.20 on 3rd attempt easily and is pumped, but his style where he flicks his lower legs leaves him open to hit the bar.

Cathy was so bad as a so called "expert commentator" that she got sacked mid-Olympics.

Geez watching triple world champ Grant Holloway run injured is such a sad thing. He is a 12.8x - 12.9x type runner and has been for a long time, but several times I've seen him run its in the 13.20s to 13.50s type results this northern summer.

As defending world champion he got an automatic entry, but if he had to qualify via top 3 at US trials, he wouldn't have made it.

Haha I thought of her, but had already written Olympic Champion so I couldn't add her. She was bad and English being her 2nd or 3rd language added to her poor commentary.

I don't understand why both SBS and 9 don't tape Aussie field athletes attempts at jumps or throws - be they successful or failures and not show them all.

There is something about watching big, strong, boofy blokes spinning hard and then yelling loudly several times, as they hurl a 16 pound hammer over 75m, that draws me in to watch intently.
