Whatever happened to jumper numbers one and two?
Did nobody want them this season?
Just seeing if anyone knows the story, might be saving them for this year's draft or rookie upgrades.

Here's the history of the Beacon Award over the last 10 seasons, surely it is time to get rid of this award, it is a curse a horrible curse

1999 - Clem Michael - Serious knee injury caused him to retire in 2001, after only 43 games for the club

2000 - Paul Haselby - Needed a total knee reconstruction after suffering an injury in the 2008 preseason

2001 - Dion Woods - Really struggled to cope with the death of his father, never being able to reproduce the good form he showed in 2003, and was delisted at the end of 2005 after playing 59 games

2002 - Paul Medhurst - Traded to Collingwood after his form fell off dramatically in the 2006 season only played 12 games for 12 goals. THis year is well down on form at collingwood

2003 - Graham Polak - Managed only 11 games in 2006, and was on traded to Richmond. Was hit by a tram and completed a remarkable return to football this year

2004 - Andrew Browne - Constantly injured will be delisted this year after only 29 games

2005 - David Mundy - *Touch Wood*

2006 - Marcus Drum - Struggled to find any real consistent form at WAFL or AFL level, done a Robbie Warnock and sooked to go home

2007 - Robert Warnock - Heart the size of a pea, gone home

2008 - Rhys Palmer - Did his knee earlier this year

Can we give the Beacon award to Brent Connelly this season?

No. 1 is cursed and No.2 was worn by a traitor. No one wants them.

Its like that movie Final Destination, because 1 and 2 were avoided, it went to 10 and 20. Look how that turned out, Palmer went down with knee reconstruction and Tarrant looking for a trade.
