For those who have digital, One Week At A Time debuts on One HD at 7.30pm tonight. The upside is Tom Harley is scheduled to be on it. The downside is so is Robert Walls.
Can't wait to see him compare Judds game with Ablett's.
Didn't he recently have a go at Scarlett as well?

He had a go at our entire backline, not just Scarlett.

There's also a show on at 9.30pm on Fox Sports 1 called Open Mike, where Noddy Sheahan interviews someone for 30 minutes.Tonights guest is Tom Harley.

Poor Tom,an hour with Throbbie and 30 minutes with Noddy. It would be enough to drive him nuts.

I think Tom will be safe from Throbbie tonight. IIRC, One Week at a Time alternates between Tom, Juddy and Richo, and tonight's Juddy's turn. Could be wrong though.

It alternates between Tom,Richo and Lloyd.Judd is actually the guest being interviewed tonight,so let's see how far Throbbie can get his head up Judd's arse.

Amazing that would be allowed in the 7.30pm timeslot. :p

You know i dont mind Walls and you know he does have a point.

Taylor will be a gem in the future. But the rest of the backline is a concern. We have had the best backlione for a while and we are still good but we cannot ignore the problems we may have.

Harley is injury prone and older. Milburn is older. Wojinski, Mackie and ROoke are great but they rely on the structure provided by the other guys in the backline.

Im not worried at the moment but we have to admit Walls does have a point.

Thought Tom did really well on the show, getting a word in here and there in the Carlton hour...

Thought Harles performed really well.

One thing I did agree with Walls on was his criticism of Taylor's act. Kneeing a player when he's on the ground is gutless. And to think he'll only get 2 weeks.

Also, the graphic setting out the collective age of our backline came as a bit of a surprise.

Please put Simon before the highlighted part. The way Walls bags Harry Taylor people might think it's him you're talking about.

Just watched Footy [strike]Crucified[/strike] Classified and they showed a second example from the match where Simple Simon kneed a player who was on the ground. He's a four star dog.
Yes, Ablett. Absolute dog act.

Wow I didn't know about the second one ... gee if there is one thing that riles Geelong supporters its cheap shots on Ablett

How was Hutchy saying he hasn't seen anyone move the ball as quickly as the Dogs did on the weekend? Obviously he hasn't seen a Geelong match in the last two years.

We're getting criticism about our backline and the experts are right that it is starting to look brittle but they usually gloss over one important point; We've got 3 injured players in that area of the ground. If Scarlett, Taylor, Mackie gets injured in the next few weeks that makes 4. Show me any other side in this competition that will not look weak with 2 or 3 players injured in one part of the ground let alone with 4.

I find that footy experts are at the moment comparing our side to an opposition that does not exist. Hawthorn are the only side that are close to us (and I personally don't think they are all that close), yet we have a supposedly terrible forward line and suspect backline... ummmm compared to WHO? Aside from Hawthorn and Brisbane (both of whom have deficiencies elsewhere), no club has two dominant tall forwards, and apart from Adelaide (who have deficiences elsewhere) no club has a defense that holds a candle to ours.

I suppose they have to talk about us, and these are the easy targets, but I just feel that we are being compared to a 'perfect' opponent.

They also make it sound like we aren't trying to rectify problems that we have - newsflash - this isn't the NBA. You can't trade mid-season, and you can't pick up free agents to fill in needs as the season goes. And do they even know who we drafted? Brown - KP forward, Gillies - AA KP defender, Hunt - Small defender. Not to mention how promising Laidler and D Mac looked during the NAB, both potential KP defenders.

Fools.
