Operation - Get Cox

I think Cox is contracted as the Eagles ruck coach for next year.
Don't think he has signed anything at West Coast- it was just assumed. Take it with a grain of salt, tv just before he announced his retirement, the OX on SEN mentioned he had heard pretty strongly that Cox would be at the Pies next year.

Given Huddo has returned to Brisbane and we need a ruck coach to replace him, there could be some truth in it.

Rucking is such a specialist role and so many AFL ruckmen are merely adequate. Actually teaching someone else to ruck is the AFL equivalent of sending someone to Hogwarts. A whole lot of incantations and potions involving snails and bat wings, from what I can tell.

Therefore it's no real surprise that with Huddo leaving we're all scratching our heads and saying "Uuuummm... Dean Cox just retired... Ummmm.... Monkey?"

Unless Huddo completely blindsided the club you'd think a succession plan would already be kicking into gear. And to be honest, whether it ends up being Dean Cox or Lou Richards I have no idea if they'll be successful or not.

I know who I'd prefer;)

When did the OX Say that?

Why? If it's just because he's ex Collingwood then that's a poor reason.

4 years as ruck coach for a Premiership side that has 1 Flag and maybe another next week? .... AND hell yes coz he was a Collingwood to boot. :)

I completely agree with this sentiment. I can't remember if it was Leigh Matthews or Wayne Carey that said "ruck stats are overrated and clubs are recruiting athletes" (along those lines anyways). He also stated that there is a huge difference between having an athletic ruck and someone like J Charman who can actually contribute with hit outs and other stuff around the ground.

Every fan would love to have Patty Ryder at their club because he can win the ruck, win his own ball, tackle and kick goals. That formula is what made D Cox so good. They aren't just hit out machines like Sandilands and actually contribute away from stoppages.

So in preseason training we could have two cox's going at it head to head ;)

Sandilands is more than just a hit out machine he's a hit out machine to advantage.

It's on par to a free kick at center bounces and stoppages.

He's also a good contested mark and a reasonable set shot on goal.

I've always believed that ruckman need to have some presence around the ground. Not only do they need to hit to advantage, but they need to be able to take big pack marks around the ground, and have some physicality about them.

Does that mean all female sharks have 2 vaginas
If not which Cox gets priority

And you thought it was just useless trivia.
Yes, I'm also very interested in the **** pecking order.
Is it a biological mandated system or a proximity opportunistic scenario?
Or is it a good old fashioned **** fight?

No to having 2 vaginas, the male shark is not that lucky.;)

The cox/ organ is more commonly known as claspers.

If the male bites onto the females left pectoral fin then he uses his right clasper, right fin then he uses his left clasper.

Some sharks mate inverted regardless the rule remains the same left side, right clasper etc.

:thumbsu: And Cox mobility allowed him to cover the ground like a mid and his skills were excellent for a big man, not to mention his ball handling between below his knees.
