Doubt he was homesick. He's basically suffering from a very common ailment in Adelaide. It's known as Anywherebutadelaide-itis. People most susceptible to this mental state are very talented locals and mildly talented out of towners, but it can affect anyone who has aspiration (irrelevant of talent). It's not football specific though. Half of the guys I knew in sales were from Adelaide, they were quite good too, which is why they left.

Geez my skin crawled when I read those comments by Peter Blucher.

You can only make a gentlemen's agreement with a gentleman. I'd call Blucher a lot of things but never that.

Had a soft spot for Blucher for his work previously, but his approach this time around and that whole interview makes him come off pretty poorly. Especially the veiled threats about the Gold Coast taking him so Adelaide should be happy with pick 22 because they might lose him for nothing. I'd be pretty pissed off if I was from Adelaide right now.

Small thing but like most of us I have been following this story for weeks and not once (until now) have I seen any reference to him being born in Sydney and having family and friends there. Just the same s..t repeated over and over. Well done to all those journos out there who have analysed this story within a millimetre of its life and managed to miss that little bit of info.

To call Blucher's "statement" ordinary is a downright insult to ordinariness.

An insult to the intelligence at worst and at best, a total pisstake.

'Hey Adelaide....my client has shat all over you from on high but c'mon, do the right thing and stick to your agreement even though we haven't:rolleyes:

Do you like Huey Lewis and The News?
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

Kurt reply to Tippett decision in QLD

Brisbane coach Michael Voss said the Lions were "disappointed because we thought we had a Queenslander that wanted to come home".

"He had highlighted that he wanted to come home and we put a very good offer in front of him," he said.

"We were confident that we were in with a good shot."

Brisbane have been bitten twice in two years by "go home" claims only to see players instead sign with the highest bidder.

The quoted section doesn't say that that is what occured, but that is hard to do that. I imagine it is. Is it fact that he never told team mates prior to the tweet? And if so, big deal.

Not sure of the validity of the poster (can't remember who it was) but I remember reading on the Adelaide Board that he rang his mates individually first then sent a group text about it.

I wish GC and Lions clarify that they are not last chance saloon for Tippett. We did put a good offer on table, he turned his back and nominated someone else, now its upto the nominated club to sort things out with Adelaide. Using GC and Lions as a backup option for their convenience is poor form. Smacks of arrogance.

I wish we put Blucher's of this world back in their place so they stop making veiled threats.

Quite a few people thought Eddie would start having a go at Sydney about their salary caps etc.....well its not Eddie, its JEFF!! ....in the HUN today, Jeff saying we should all be equal blah blah blah!..

I'm actually feeling sorry for Tippett......I blame the manager, who would've convinced him to take the money, set yourself up son, Sydney is just down the road from GC blah blah blah................(hehe, and then I can get more commission on your earnings!!)
