Well hello there. Nice to catch up again. ;)

Well he actually hasn't been doing much in the way of keeping up his public persona and being the pin up boy of the WCE of late now has he, no training, and one might guess wont be picked in the team for lets say some considerable time until as three of his teams bosses say "until he gets his life in order";

actually admitting he has a problem (going on reports that he still has not accepted the fact even though his father has publicly said so);

Had his long time girl friend leave him for only they know why;

Been suspended as captain of his club because of serveral indiscretions;

Turning up late and being unable to function properly or not turning up at all at either train ing sessions or club functions;

Being named on a tape that the WA drug squad investigating drug dealers in WA connected to crimal gangs;

Found indisposed outside a famous Melbourne establishment and had his picture taken by joe public who made it public;

As the saying goes, but wait, there's more. Too tired of stating them, so yes in my opinion his life is spiralling out of control.

But hand on, how do you know he only a recreational user?

Isn't that just supposition?

ah Marky, good to see your reading and comprehension skills are down to their usual low levels.

1. nothing you've said above says anything more than he is a recreational user. we don't know anything about his actual situation

2. why don't you go back, and count how many times I've said I don't know his actual situation. And neither do you.

but hey don't let me spoil the party, if your happy just the way you are, that's good enough for me :)

Do you think that Laurence Angwin would have been kept on our list of he was caught to be betting on AFL matches? I think he would have been sacked. Pretty sure Goodwin is still on the list and in the leadership group.

Apples and Oranges.

From you I wouldn't have expected anything less.

As usual you are only assuming I don't know.

If that list and more doesn't suggest his life is uncontrolable at the minute then he should be picked in next weeks team them. No one incuding yourself would be in their right frame of mind to have done those things and still have his life in order. But then again everyone is not you.

Good to see your still evasive as ever.

We may not know EXACT details, but we do know:

1. He was stripped of the Captaincy last year.

2. He has now been stood down indifenitely until he gets his life back in order.

Sounds like someone who's life is spiralling out of control to me.

How did I miss this little gem.
Come on CM you know everything there is to know about anything.

Careful Jen, you will soon be sold you don't know what your thinking. ;)

NEWSFLASH:

The West Coast Eagles in conjunction with their major sponsor Hungry Jacks are proud to release the Ben Cousins Meal Deal. No burger or fries, just coke and ice!!

I am certain you don't know.

do you disagree?

evasive, that's rich from you. :D

no, these are the actions of his employer - mostly off the back of public pressure.

this does not inform us in anyway, what the real situation is.

No Andrew Rule, and Cousins plays this week.

- and also, if we believe some of the reports, one of their star Victorian-born midfielders, who was sick of the rabble the place was turning into. These things don't become issues until someone forces the club to act -- there's no real evidence they would have done anything otherwise.

I am certain you don't know.

do you disagree?

I am almost certain that you don't know that I know something that you don't know. :p

Let me put it this way then.

Do you know everything about a political canditade, everyone of their policies, where they stand on every issue, or do you make your mind up by reading or finding out all you can but you know there is more, but you vote anyway? Of course you do.

This is the same thing, I might not know all what is going on at the coal face, but I make up my mind of him being out of control.

And it's my right to do that by the way. ;)

After all this is a forum for different opions irrespective of what you believe is right. Right?

Are you serious?

So you are saying that if that article hadn't been written, then Ben Cousins, would be playing for the West Coast Eagles this weekend? :eek: :confused:

These are the actions of a FRUSTRATED employer after he didn't show up for training - not once, but FIVE times. Clearly whether someone had written an article or not, Ben Cousins was heading for a fall. And this is a direct result of a life out of control. (If he was in control, he'd have gone to training). I am sure he was given far more latitude than a non-star player would have been - and that in itself could have contributed to his downfall.

as opposed to someone who thinks they're bigger than the club?
you need to think about this, and not take easy conclusions.

5 missed training sessions is nothing - he has not been suspended for missing a few training sessions. remember the club admits to being aware of something being up 6 months ago, which means we don't really know how long they have actually been aware. stretches the imagination to believe this was the catalyst to throw the doors open, when so many other more public events did not.

there is nothing about 5 missed sessions that can't be attributed to any number of things, when you accept one as the definitive reason out of convenience you sell yourself short. this is just another example of how little we really know.

Clearly whether someone had written an article or not, Ben Cousins was heading for a fall.

there is nothing clear about a baseless assumption. there is almost no actual information in the public arena about what has actually gone on, that is the point.

And this is a direct result of a life out of control. (If he was in control, he'd have gone to training).

again, as opposed to having established that he can do what he wants?
who knows what is going on.

does this mean anyone who misses a training session at the AFC has a drug problem? how many before we say this? what is the number, is it 2, 3, 7 training sessions. how many before we know?

obviously it's a bit simplistic to think we can make this judgement.

I am sure he was given far more latitude than a non-star player would have been - and that in itself could have contributed to his downfall.

what downfall?
you might like to go back to basics here, and try to work through how little is actually known.

if you miss work with a hangover, and over a period of time, you have done it a few times - and you get sacked. does this mean you have an alcohol problem, does it mean you thought you can get away with it, does it mean that your employer has another agenda, or maybe it's something entirely different.

Marky is a moron, but try to look at this objectively and not sell yourself short.

You don't know this? How can you possibly know this, it's all speculation. :p

I think we can all now realise that being in a circus does have it's advantages.

Tell me what are the higher personal and business standards for being a clown?

Here I was all along thinking you was just another self opinionated know-it-all knob.

I think your signature says it all really. Self abuse is a sport these days apparantly :D

You seem to have missed the copious articles and statements written over the past week or so stating these facts:

Ben Cousins has a substance abuse problem.
Ben Cousins (a highly professional and successful player) missed training on at least 5 occasions (a most unprofessional thing to do).
Ben Cousins has had run ins with the law (re: driving while under the influence, attempting to evade police, belting a taxi driver, associations with Michael Gardner and underworld figures)

and the list goes on. A club will not drop a star player indefinitely if everything is honky dory. Seriously, think about it - just for a minute.
