When Peter Bell retires, who do you thik will be our captain?

I think it will be either Pav (if he stays) or Siegert.
Siegert captained the Geelong Falcons winning TAC cup team in 2000 and Pav captained his state under 16 and under 18s team.
It can clearly be seen from watching them play that they both ooze leadership.

Also, is it true that Andrew Siegert used to support Freo when he was living in Victoria??

Obviously Siegert would need to gain more respect from the players first.

I reckon Pav will captain us for sure I have no doubt that he'll stay he's in great form and playing great footy so why leave, it's pretty obvious we are going to be a fantastic side in the next couple of years, we are pretty good now.

And people who are saying that Pav doesn't owe us anything are dead wrong he was overlooked by the crows as a 17 year old and drafted by freo a year later. We have put alot of time into him. Adelaide have also put alot of time into wa's Stenliegn but there's one problem he's crap and we dont want or need him.

Once we've re-signed pav he will have enough money to fly his family over every weekend in his own private jet.

In all honesty I think Pavlich is as good as gone.
Next captain not sure as yet Brown has great leadership credentials and I would see how Longmuir develops.

Regardless we need a player that can lead through what he does and not just what they say.
Like Peter Bell they need to be one of our best

Bell has only been captain for 6 games. Bit early for these topic.
Unless he falls to the captains curse of the Dockers. Delisted!

This topic is way too early. You cannot speculate on things like this. Bell will most certainly be captain for the rest of his career.

Just look at the australian cricket team. Journos laudedDamien Martyn as a future captain when he was 21. More recently they have said the same of Simon Katich.

But for the sake of fun I would like to see Leigh Brown captain one day. As long as he is one of the better players and isn't carried I reckon he would be tops. I don't think you should necessarily have the best player be the captain. It really comes down to internal team dynamics.

by no means was i suggesting that something will happen to Bell in the short term which will strip him of his captaincy, I was just providing an interesting topic for discussion.

There is no way Paul Medhurst will be made captain of Fremantle. Paul Haselby would be a chance I think if he stays fit. The next captain of freo might not even be at the club yet. Bell will be captain for another 5 or 6 years probably.

I can picture Medder's captaining this great club one day, he's a good at telling people what to do, you know opposition players, umpires and teammates. He is also fast growing respect from fremantle supporters and his peers.
