Was just thinking (not a lot of though mind you) today in my lunch break
Going back to 1986 day grand finals we have been in we seem to have got a patton.
in 86 loose
in 87 win
in 93 loose
in 95 win
in 99 loose
so dose that mean if we get to the grand final this year we win it and if so how sweet it would be if it was agaist collingwood

sorry if people think its a s@#$ thread

Anyone else feel dumber after reading the OP?

Blues are a real show for the flag this year - pies are very, very beatable. Here is HOW:

Need to provide a dynamic forward line which includes Kruzer, Waite, Hendo, Setanta, Judd, Murphy and Gibbs - dynamic as in mix it up, we need some massive boys in there witBh super skilled smalls being assisted by resting mids and mids bombing in from 60-45 meters out.

Solidify our backs - we need some more certainty here as well - as much as I think Bower shouldn't be in the team - and as much as i HATE Thornton - with them they provide some consistency - however this can only occur if we can get some super big bodied backs in the team.

Can we look at remaking Hampson into a back ?

Our midfield, commitment, skills, stamina are all up to speed - we are premiership side - except our forward line and backline (SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY)

After watching Collingwood & Geelong (specifically the last half of the last quarter) on Friday Night, I think the strategy to beat Collingwood is a lot less complex...

Get it in to a target in the forward line as fast as possible, before they can get the loose man across or double team, and make sure you have plenty of crumbers.
