The big three......fraser,bryan and richards.Your opinions would be appreciated on whether bryan and richards are the answer we have been looking for to help Josh.Do we need to recruit another ruckman or 2 next year? i hope Bryan and Richards play full seasons next year.No room for injuries otherwise it's up to josh on his own again......Im starting to see red.....Will bryan take first ruck?

Bryan should "earn" his spot in the team... like the others. If he has a good NAB Cup he's a chance to be selected.

The only ruckman that has his position sewn up is Fraser. That's damming. Someone needs to step up and be accountable.

Agreed fully.

Fraser really does need someone to be there with him so he can rest awhile, it's going to have to be a big year for Richards, I am not sure about Bryan, haven't watched him at VFL level, so I am not entirely sold, once the NAB Cup comes around I'll be able to fully comment on him.

"ruck stocks"? Does that compute? "Ruck remnants" perhaps?

Josh is a ruck rover and is not the tap ruck option to get first hand on ball enough if we are to change our smaller midfield into an attacking rather than defensive/containment one. Richards is a tap ruckman, who seldom does alot around the ground and yep is seldom making it to the park at all - so much so that some question his commitment to an AFL career, for which he is probably on last chance in 2007.

Bryan is a bullocky insurance policy for Richards, or Josh (not a great tap ruck, but is a better big marking target around the ground than Richards so far), or indeed will be some insurance for Rocca up front as well.

Not sure if that's "stocks". They all seem to provide in themselves only half or a third of the modern ruckman if we are to convert to a first-dibs midfield. So to get the complete package we need to play all three, and lose bench space for our mid rotations?

Perhaps next year we will see the "on-ball" division get the NDraft attention that the "talls" got this year, and the fast flankers got the two previous years. That's all I want for Christmas next year....that by then we can really talk about our new ruck stocks.

Maybe we could sew Bryan onto Josh to gibve him the extra weight to compete at the throw ins?

Nothing wrong with Fraser, he's an effective ruckmen who only gets beaten for strength. If one of the other two steps up to support then we have an effective ruck division.

Bryan won't get beaten as easy in the ruck throwings.

The closer it gets the more xciting it's getting, Big year for some players.
