Not sure why the coaches put Johnson forward at the start. Nearly cost us the game. Our defence has looked absolutely shaky the past few weeks. Parker out and we start Johnson forward. Pretty silly IMO.

At least they rectified it by quarter time.

Once Mundy, Johnson, Hayden and Black were working together in the backline we looked very solid.

Midfield didn't seem to be running very hard. Neither did Adelaides really. I think it was the wet conditions. Doesn't make bouncing the football too easy.

Its never a good move. Johnson is so calm. Reads the play so well. He gives everyone around him confidence. Considering our midfield is average at winning clearances i think our defence needs to be superb. Its not like our forward line is missing a target.

He does make a huge difference to our backline, but how many teams can cover 3 quality tall forwards? Brisbane's tall defenders have all played less than 50 games, Johnson could quite easily kick 2-3 goals in a 20 minute stint in the goal square against their third best defender.

Rodger has hit a new level of confidence. With Johnno now with a game under his belt I can see our backline becoming something that will get a bit more respect. We have kicked some good scores so far this year but our defense let us down.
With General Johnno back on deck we seem a lot more stable .

I agree its a great theory. No defence could cover 3 quality talls. But on the flip side, how many teams have developed a successful 3 pronged attack. I can't think of one.

I think if your keen on exposing their defence for height. Push Sandilands forward. Include Campbell in the 22. Throw Mundy forward. But please don't take Johnson from the backline. We need him back their.

You'll get your way if Warnie debuts next week. He's a very capable forward and I'd like to see us play 2 genuine ruckmen on a hot day. Sandi will struggle to play 100 minutes in 27 degree temperatures.

Campbell looked good last week but the conditions saw him miss today and Warnock should play ahead of him next week.

Its a long flight. We must manage this correctly so we can win when we come back to subi the following week.

Lets not go in with too many tall forwards and defenders. We will run our mids and sandi into the ground and they will be sloppy in a must win game in 2 weeks.

He (Rodger) looks to me like he is about to hit a career high. Late last year he (imo) dropped half a meter, he was caught a few times which probably knocked his self belief. This year so far he has been building and today's game was a prelude of what is about to come.
I hope I'm right because he is one talented footballer.

Not only were our skills pretty ordinary yesterday but our vision and decision making were about the same as well. I was at the game and the amount of times tarrant worked his ass off to get into space he was over looked and the ball was kicked to either a contest or was turned over by a kick to the opposition.

As soon as we hit the defensive side of the wings we need to look up at the 50m arc and look for tarrant. Cant believe how much he works per game, must use him.
