If that is actually true, how come Richmond flogs have meltdowns over how many AA Jackets Tom Stewart has and Hawkins winning AA captain a couple of years ago.
Richmond supporters are a different breed
Even Stevie Wonder can see that the AFL have no stars and need to drum up interest some how.

Funny that both of the two ratbag clubs you mentioned have won 3 x as many flags in the last decade as Geegobble have won in the same period, maybe standing on your own two feet and keeping your pants on at AFL board meetings pays dividends after all

I heard the Nepotism extends so far with Geelong influential at the AFL that Benny Gale was blacklisted from even bothering to apply for the CEO job to replace Gil.
Also The Tigers are keen on Ben King, but the AFL have instructed him and his management that under no circumstances is he to join Richmond cause of the backlash after Tom Lynch.
He will be a Hawk or stay at the Suns in 2025.
