PAFC Heritage Jumper 2005

Just caught on the news last night a glimpse of the jumper Port will be wearing on Heritage weekend and I must say its an excellent choice.

It is Port Adelaide's first ever guernsey of 1870 which is predominantly teal blue and white hoops - similar to Geelongs jumper. I think it would make a great clash or away jumper.

Anyone else got a look at it?

Yeah I saw it last night and preferred it heaps to last year's one. Would rather the "prison bars" but as a second choice, it's pretty good. And horizontal stripes make you look "bigger" too.

Its probably not going on general sale though... PAFC will keep a few to sell at over 1000 bucks.

I havent seen it, but as far as this Adelaide supporter is concerned especially after seeing that hawthorn will be wearing the same colours as the bulldogs and Fremantle the same as sydney, why cant Port wear black and white. Its just plain dumb that they cant.

I say screw Eddie... he isn't the be-all and end-all of the AFL.

I also say that Port have the right to wear the black & white just as much as Eddiewood do.

It's a bloody joke. Here have heritage week but don't celebrate your heritage.

How can anyone possibly say this Port Adelaide great in a black and white prison bar guernsey cannot be honoured by our club? How is anyone's heritage more significant than that?

And don't give the that Eddiewood "real maggies" bull********. No one's asking us to be called the Magpies in heritage round, just the right to wear our colours.

If you're talking about the hertiage jumper for round 20 then yes the club puts them on ebay not long after the game. If you are talking about the true heritage jumper that was worn (black&white) from a few years ago then you're out of luck as they were all sold on ebay a few years ago.

Last year you could buy them. It was only the Prison bar guernsey which was limited from the year before, for the obviou$ reason.

So that's what we've submitted to the AFL eh? Hopefully they'll have the B&W hidden in the rooms and ready to go on match day. Pass the hat around around the ground before the game and we'll have enough to pay the fine twice over.
