What has those abc stories got to do with this thread .............. nothing
Your "billionaire benefactor" is not interested in the slightest in your little club.

Clutching at little straws are we........ Shanghai Cred is not even mentioned anywhere there...
No money is going to Port . The money is going to help Chinese people, with Port Adelaide involvement, to improve their football skills... end of story ... Google will help you find out about that ....

What a cute naive post.

Read back on the thread before you bother me again.
Your "benefactor" was in the original bid for the S Kidman Properties.

You're an embarrassment.
Another lemming reading from the pear song sheet
It's becoming clearer than ever that the $3 mill he has given you to spend IN China is pocket change to give him positive exposure here.

How's that game coming along ?

Nothing ????
What about that driving range - sorted that out yet ?
Is pear being left to do all the heavy lifting with this?
Maybe if your club concentrated on what it's meant to do - recruit AFL standard players and win matches, you wouldn't be finishing 10th with no AA players.

But hey - keep doing what you're doing - it's working great - for the rest of us.

Yes, that's how sponsorship works.

I'm not sure what your point is? Do you even have a point? :drunk:

No - That's how YOUR Chinese sponsorship works.
No money for your club HERE - only over there and in the mean time expecting something in return.
It's all about looking "good".
Our sponsors give us money to spend HERE, on our footy depts etc - they don't dictate where the money goes.
My "point" is the same "point" being made by Keating and co in those articles.
Got the ratings for the telecasts over there ? How many gazillions of Chinese tuned in to watch the tripe your club dished up this year?

Notice you avoid any of my direct questions - a sure sign this whole venture is one massive embarrassment to your club.

Events of the last few days - mmmm - wonder what Renault think ?

Oh my, you are getting hung up on the money having to be spent in China? We are trying to build a market over there. We would have been spending money over there anyway. Money that would have had to be redirected from what we were spending here. So your point is invalid.

Yes, that is what all sponsorship is about. I'm not sure what you find so hard to understand about that. All sponsors do it for exposure.

Yes. Precisely. Exposure. What have I been saying ? But sponsorship is a two way street .
They don't give a **** about the game or your club. They want to be seen to be looking like they DO give a **** to help them with their investment agenda.
They've just suckered you in to thinking it's you that'll be getting the benefit of all this when in fact, it is to boost their profile here, not your profile there, and have you lot running around organising a game and Auskick over there. It's already evident from the lack of anything concrete happening, that the timing will be a nightmare, let alone the humidity/weather/smog/ jet lag/ lack of opponent. How did those ratings go ?

It's like they gave you a gift voucher and you have to buy them a present.
