Must be a slow news day because this story is 6 months old.

I'm not convinced Reyes has been able to deal with the physical nature of the EPL. He is an outstanding prospect but I think he would be much better suited to the Spanish or Italian league. If Arsenal can get cash + Baptista for Reyes I think that would be a good deal for both teams.

Manchester United are hoping to seal a £4m deal for Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna. (Various)

Isn't he like 30? Not sure if that's the sort of age group SAF is targetting. Please get Mascherano instead.

Manchester United are plotting a £27m move for Athletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres. (People)

Been reading this the whole offseason. I'll believe it when Torres is being unveiled at Old Trafford.

Tottenham could step up their interest in Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing. (Independent on Sunday)

Would be a great signing. Anything up to around 10-12 million would be a good deal.

Well, duh!

Senna would be a great get for the next couple of seasons - played the enforcers role for Villareal beautifully, would really beef up our midfield alongside Carrick. I think he wants to stay in Spain though.

The Torres story is dead, he isn't coming.

Bullsh*t. such a clause is anti-competitive under european law and could not be sanctioned.

I'd be very worried about Man Utd now if they do sign Senna and Carrick.

And you bite a bullet by not signing Torres, should be grateful. Would've been a waste of lotsa money

Bates has brought it up again. We are heading to FIFA to lodge a complaint over it. We sure could do with the cash!

Delusion Grandeur.

If you do that you won't be getting your 30 million and Ashley 'I don't want to be an Arsenal player' Cole, will be an Arsenal player next season.

But yeah, dream on that Chelsea would still want him if he was cup tied for European matches  :D

And?

Either way we get a stack of money or we ruin his career by sticking him in the reserves for two years. It's win-win regardless of the outcome. Arsenal are not the ones desperate for this to go through numbnuts, we're the ones who set the terms, not Cashley and not Chelski. Either those corrupt cheats cough up the £30m or no Cashley for them.

When are you just going to just come out (in more ways than one) and admit to being a Chelsea bandwagoner anyway, lord of the cliche?

what a truly stupid thing to say.

you do that, and you kiss goodbye to ever signing a big name player again. Do you think players and Agents would ever want to do business with a club that that was reckless with a players welfare and career?

which ignores the fact, that you won't do that because ultimately you're a responsible club, even if the odd supporter isn't.

Wise decision not to have Sven as Villa's coach, after the recent events. Middlesbrough had a preseason win over Sheff Wed 2-1...
Will be interesting to see if Tottenham splash the cash on a player like downing or go for a defender to help their inexperienced defender.

And, nothing. I just merely pointing out that they wouldn't buy 'Cashley' if he was European Cup tied. They've made it no secret their ambition to win the Champions League this season and they obviously see 'Cashley' as an integral part of doing this.

I'm all love for Clichy, and Flamini was brilliant last season when deputising at LB, but I can't imagine Arsene sticking Cole in the reserves if he does stay. Ashley Cole couldn't be that desperate to leave could he? Didn't he grow up an Arsenal supporter, and hasn't he been there his whole career?

I think Chelsea will pay more than the 16 million initially offered, but I don't think Arsenal will be getting the 30 million they reportedly want for him. Something in between is usually what happens.

Are you calling this man a 'corrupt cheat'?

DB10, just so you know I prefer Arsenal to Chelsea and Manchester United.
I don't really have a preference between these three teams, I just like certain players and appreciate the football they play, especially Arsenal.

I just don't like Liverpool.

Winston Bogarde, Geremi? Players will follow the cash. Arsenal won't have trouble signing players.

I'm sorry, care to reference your comments a little more?

Didn't Geremi re-sign only a couple of months ago?
Who came in for Bogarde and was rebuffed?

not sure the facts support you. Then perhaps your glasses aren't supporting you terribly well either, try putting them on and reading the rest of my post.
