does it upset you guys that there are heaps of Richmond Supporters out there that genuinely think Dusty is better than Ablett Jr? I find it mind boggling

Bless their little cotton socks.

It doesn't upset us at all. We understand Richmond supporters are, by and large, somewhat 'challenged'.....especially when it comes to footy.

Issac Smith running the lolly box in Adelaide for the Cats. Didn't realise he was involved in game day for the Cats.

Bumped into Leigh Colbert yesterday
Hardly changed since he played

Jesus, I know it's easy to say after a heart attack, but Toby does not look like he's a well boy there.

He's been obese for over 15 years. He was a porker at Geelong's 150th back in 2009, and probably well before then as well.
He was in intensive care for a couple of weeks a few years ago for a lung infection or something as well.

After his good mate Paul Couch's heart attack ten bloody years ago, you'd think he'd try to lose that weight and get checked out more often.

Reminder to all; blood tests, blood pressure tests, and doctors visits. They can make a big difference.

Local SA intel is Ted Clohesy is very likely to get a spot on Port's list after having 29 disposals, 1 goal and 11 score involvements in their internal trial last night.

I wish him all the best. But Port are nuts signing all these recycled players.

It looks like they're going to bring in Clohesy, Stephenson, Durdin, Brodie and Wehr while not taking a single pick in the draft.

Their draft picks were 3 academy or linked rookie listed players, so they have technically made the required senior list additions

But it does seem a little Moneyball like with the recycled players

Not sure who you're referring to. The only player they brought in at the draft was 25 year old Jack Watkins in the rookie draft signed from their SANFL club.

The youngest guy on their list is Harrison Ramm who they took at least year's mid season draft after he was passed over in the 2024 draft. He's a few weeks younger than Molier.

Im happy for Ted as his workrate is so good but port should know better. The amount of crap recycled players they have signed especially small forwards is unbelievable. This will end the same way mcentee did.

They didnt take any draft players except mature age Watkins from their sanfl team (and this is done to try and keep butters as hes Zac's best mate). Guys like durdin and brodie and wehr are trying to fish in the bargain bin and they've done this for years and it hasn't worked.

They didn't take any live ND picks but as teams still have to make a minimum of 3 list changes, they made those additions via 3 rookie elevations - I knew they had made the 3 additions to their senior list, but I couldn't remember the source for those additions

So it's similar to us only using 2 live picks and then Mullin's elevation from the rookie list counting for the 3rd addition

All teams need to make a minimum of 3 senior list changes at the draft - double checking, Ports 3 senior list additions were rookie list elevations

It's similar to how we only took 2 live picks and used Mullin's upgrade for the 3rd, but they opted against any live picks

Rookie elevations no longer get noted on draft night or subsequent draft lists, so it can be hard to keep track of but it was reported that's the path Port took on the night

What they did was they took one player at the start of the year SSP (Josh lai) and they took 3 in the msd due to long term injuries (liddy who was mature age plus ramm and McKinlay) and they elevated 3 of them to senior list to meet the minimum changes rule. So technically they only took one new player at the end of the year and that wasn't really new either (watkins) because they brought him over from NM the year before to play in their sanfl side to keep butters happy (no doubt with the promise of a rookie spot if he did well).

Those rookies to senior list moves aren't new players. They already had those on the list just like we had Mullin. The difference between rookie and senior list is pretty meaningless now.

We brought in 4 new draft aged players in Barker, Holmes, Mellor and Driscoll.

The only player new to the afl they brought in was a 25 year old. Then they're supplementing those with a stack of recycled players.

What ever happened to the talk of Tomahawk being wooed over by King and the dee's in a specialist coaching role....just that, talk ?

Think it's in a part time capacity rather than full-time
