Will we look at him in the off season? He might want to come home to Victoria. Would be a really good inclusion to our midfield..

Wouldn't it be nice to nab him after the Adelaide pushup dibby dobber fiasco.

I suspect Essendon and a few other clubs will be keen:rolleyes:

Would love him at the Tigers. Having arguably the two best young inside midfielder/forwards in the game being Dangerfield and Martin would be outstanding. We could have one playing in the forward line and one in the middle, and just rotate them.

However, what he would cost us, I doubt, we would get near him, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try :thumbsu:

Its not up to Adelaide though its up to Patrick he will want more money from the crows no doubt and probably can get more elsewhere and in his home state. I'd think it would be silly for his management not to look at offers from rival clubs. Will be interesting to see what transpires.

How is he different to Chris Judd? Or any of the other players who want to go home?

I wouldn't rule out that he might want to go home. However I don't see the point in throwing money around. We'd be better off trying to grab a kid in his second year who wants to go home and we think might have hidden upside.

I reckon it's way different to Judd or Ablett.we don't have the owner of visy shelling out or the AFL behind it.

Judd was going to leave regardless. Carlton got him through their bullshit scam, but he was always going to leave.

I just don't think it can be said that he will be a one club player simply because he's good and presumably Adelaide will pay over the odds to keep him or brainwash him to stay.

Dont neccassarily agree that he will be a one club player,I just think its more likely they leave once they are a free agent than so early in their career.

Be a very good get. We should be targeting these sort of players.

We don't want to sell our soul, or return to the bad old days of giving up our first rounders for Sugar, but we if we want to play with the big boys we need to act like them.

I'd love this bloke at the Tiges.

The big boys usually know that they arent ready to be big boys and make sure that when they do act like you suggest we need to, they need one maybe two to take them all the way to the big one.
ATM Dimma needs ****ing nurofen thats how far we have to go. A Dnagerfield isnt the answer to our immediate problems. ;)

Our midfield is developing nicely and although it would be good to get him, I reckon Adelaide will play hardball in a big way. He would cost too much. I reckon we'll go the Free Agency route. If not this year, then most certainly the next.

Considering the fact that it will be mostly interstate clubs taking up the bottom rungs of the ladder, Dangerfield will have no chance of getting home through the draft which means they will have to deal with Adelaide who will rightly ask for overs.

He's going nowhere. Not yet anyway...

As good as he would be at Richmond I don't think we should go chasing him. Simple reason is he would coast way too much to pry away from the Crows. Our trading in recent years has been brilliant, we got Grigg for a fringe player in Collins, got Ivan for pick 37 and forced Houli into the PSD by not paying over the odds for him.

This is the sort of smart trading/recruiting we should be continuing on with. Getting great value for our picks and getting in players that not only make us better but also improve our depth. While Dangerfield would no doubt improve our depth through the midfield I fear that it would cost us our first 2 picks to even be in the ballpark of what Adelaide would want. I would much rather use those picks on 2 of the best kids and build depth that way.

Oh please no. This kid has some talent but he also has his flaws and his disposal under pressure is suspect. Would cost us way too much for a depth player at best.

I agree we should not be heading this way and would cost over the odds, but depth player??? At Richmond???????
He's no depth player anywhere.

Yep he would be the bloke you bring in for an under performing Edwards. Dangerfields avg disposal efficiency in 2012 is 67.67% compared to Edwards at 68.89% with Jackson at 72.62%

Yep a depth player that would cost way too much.

Holy shit.

There's no way he'd be a depth player. Even if he goes completely backwards in his development he'd be right at home in our forwardline.

I'm very happy with our Sydney-esque trading policy of getting good value for cheap picks/players right now. Beats the hell out of breaking the bank for a hyped up youngster.

Wow. I'm actually embarrassed for you. :o
