This was 1 of the TAC Cup players who Played with us in the last round in the VFL.

I heard that he very Athletic 194cm Defender, Who can Break Lines and Create Rebound from the Defensive 50 like Kennely of the Swans but Has sad his Weakness is Poor Footy IQ, More of an Athelete then a Footballer.

Those I was wondering to the VFL Watchers - What did you Reckon of Hayes game at the Pies?

because I reckon we will Draft him

Might be worth a rookie spot, those you never know what we'll do come draft day.

He is a freak athlete, very quick and agile and also has a big tank those he is skinny and may be more suited to running HBF rather KPD. (similar to Goldsack)

He is overage those he has upside as this year was his first year of club footy.

We could take him in the rookie draft or we could take him in the ND-those it would be a risk.

Sounds like a Hine type pick. Raw player with plenty of upside and development ahead of him as he's only played AFL for one year.

Think we might take him with our 4th round pick since we delisted Thoolen. This would allow us to use our three early picks and mids and our other third rounder on a Ruckman.

11: Mid
29: Mid
45: Mid
46: Ruckman
4th round: Hayes (What number is our 4th rounder??)

Actually the 4th Rounder is a 5th Rounder and It's Pick 72:eek:

I think you'll find its 77, as after the priority picks we have 29 then 45 was ours intially then we had 61 that Sydney now has. Now 77. 29+16=45, 45+16=61, 61=16=77.

It depends on list spaces.

It may currently read pick 77, but by draft day it may be like dave said 72.

Im going off the official picks that are confirmed for draft. But as you say they may pass on pick etc.

There was also one other TAC player that would be worth a look at. Dan Buckley played mostly at full back and showed a bit. My recollection was that he attacked the ball well and had a bit of dash. May be picked up in the rookie draft.

Yeh sounds good on paper, and rookie probably the best bet! however i been watching a 22 year old from geelong vfl team Matthew Firman! was on essendons rookie last they delisted him, 2008 he played for geelong vfl side and he looked like a quick on baller, be intresting if some club looks at this young fella! i said the same thing about scott thompson from geelong vfl side last year! and got picked up for the roos!:thumbsu:

I heard that he is trying out for the VFL Team

If we pick up Hayes, I wouldn't think it would be before our last pick in the ND, and more likely it would be the rookie draft.

Matty used to play for Belconnen Magpies in Canberra before he moved to the Dons. He was going to get a run in the ones but broke down at training with a hamstring injury. Was good player for us so it would be great to see him get a second chance by an AFL club.

Anything new guys?
