Pav & Judd in that "take a minute" (or whatever it's called segment) on Ch9...

Monday
Pav: Where's home? Perth or Melbourne?
Judd: (with no hesitation whatsoever) Melbourne's home.

Ch9 Wednesday
Judd: Where's home? Perth or Adelaide?
Pav: (looooong delay) Ummmmm. That's a good question. Ummmm, Adelaide's home cos that's where my family is, but after 7 years here, Perth is fast becoming home for me.

:thumbsu:

Also, this gave me a giggle:
Judd: (smiling) Who's the only Glendinning Medallist to be booed?
Pav: (laughing) That would be your good self Juddy.

Also asked each other questions about their horse, and its chances of getting a run in the Melbourne Cup. Would be so much easier to dislike the Slime captain if he didn't seem like such a good bloke and if he wasn't such obviously good mates with Our Pav. :o

Looks like Pav and Juddy are good mates. I enjoyed the two segments they did, was good fun. :thumbsu:

(.. and I don't think Judd is going anywhere). :)

Juddy's a good bloke, wasnt his fault they stuffed up and gave him the medal ;) .

Judd's a champion and doesn't deserve to be booed, you pay money to see guys like him and Hird play the game (magic to watch). I love Fremantle and I'd hope that opposition fans would do the same for our champions.

Really? I wouldn't pay money just to watch Judd. I've never seen a player look so constipated so often. His standard expression is grimace.
one..
two..
three..

I don't dislike Judd, fantastic player. Great watching him tear up sides that aren't Freo.

What I do hate is the Judd-cult that's formed over the past couple of years that seeks to whitewash every bad game that he's ever had ("It's all down to cheating taggers! Judd couldn't have an off day!") as well as indulging in praise that is often scarily over the top.

To this day the booing (and following over-reaction) remains one of the funniest/enjoyable moments I've had supporting freo. In the words of one of the greats, "we stuck it right up them!"

It was a rebellion against the status quo, it was freo saying we finally here and we don't have to put up with your crap anymore.

It is a deliberate ploy by them all to continue this booing Judd meme. As was recently pointed out on Dockerland, if we wanted to boo Judd we had a whole footy game to do it in, why wait to the medal award?

We weren't booing Judd, we were booing you. The media, the eagles fans, and all the wallies who smirk when you say you support freo - all of you guys were the ones we were booing.

Excellent post Slacker, and very true!

The over-reaction to boogate was a beautiful monster. Half a state of weagle fans trying to outdo do each other at "being incensed". Pure hilarity!

Of course we get it. Just like the night of 05/09/03. We get it. No point trying to explain either incident, but it doesn't matter, cos we get it and that's all that counts.

Be careful fellow freo supporters...Remember this is princess Judd were talking about.
We have to tread carefully or this place will be flooded with eagle supporters up in arms.

For what it is worth, everything I have ever heard about Chris Judd has been nothing but good reports, aparently he is a great guy.
That said though I still demand the boo'ing was aimed at the decision not the player.

True Sabre, but in my experience weagle fans only come in two flavours "gloating" and "up in arms", so we might as well dine out buffet style this week.

Call it what you like, justify it how you wish but he should have been given the opportunity to speak.
Yes that would have been polite, but I wasn't aware he was trying to speak from across the other side of the ground and Im guessing about 20,000 other people were in the same boat.

re the boogate
as one of our other posters said a comparable incident is eagles booing as bell got carried off the ground
now most eagles would have been booing ' the decision' of juddy being reported
but of course that's not how it looked on the tv

Does anyone remember Coxy wearing the Freo guernsey, lost a bet with someone if I recall. Still have nightmares about it ;)

The bet was with Blacky. Interesting to see if they do it again, or whether once was enough for Big Deano... ;)

Don't worry Judd knows that you were booing him. When Juddy looked around during his speech at the Freo fruit loops around him, you could just tell that he was thinking "gee what a bunch of tossers" and "glad I don't play for these ferals".:thumbsu:

At the end of the interview Pav was asked if he was appearing in the next Hilltops Hoods clip.
He also said he helped form (somthing like that) the Hoods and that he was a hip hop fan and was pretty good on the decks.

Is this true ?

Judd actually said the same thing as Pav when interviewed on "on the coach" a few weeks back.

But thank your lucky stars that Pavlich is from Adelaide all the same.
