Worryingly, looks like random issues and heat dissapation issues are common with with using such an old board. I wouldnt trust techfast as far as i could throw them, doing a bit of research it looks like they use greys to keep costs downFirst one I looked at (GA-A320M-S2H) says it does, takes up to a 5950X
Oh I'm not saying it's a good idea, just that technically it's supported.Worryingly, looks like random issues and heat dissapation issues are common with with using such an old board. Yep definitely corners being cut, grey imports are a worry to, generally manufacturers wont warranty the components outside of their intended regionOh I'm not saying it's a good idea, just that technically it's supported.
I've never seen a Techfast system, but I can only assume there's a bunch of corners being cut to get things at the prices they are. From memory they use brands like Biostar.

Yep, grey market stuff, you do however have protections via a ACCC. It'll potentially be a painful experience but they're still an Australian company so their choice to use shit parts can be made their problem.TechFast cannot apply for a warranty claim on the customer’s behalf with a manufacturer due to the Privacy Act.
From their warranty page, good luck if anything goes wrong, im assuming they dont give you an invoice for each component therefore meaning the manufacturer will not even talk to you
Do you have a link to that TechFast warranty page? I can't find it.TechFast cannot apply for a warranty claim on the customer’s behalf with a manufacturer due to the Privacy Act.

There's nothing in the Privacy Act that would support that position by them, so it just sounds like they are being dodgy and passing the buck.
Yeah what a load of crap from them. Here is the full paragraph
TechFast is not a manufacturer or authorized service centre. It is highly recommended that a customer contacts the product’s manufacturer’s technical support directly for any troubleshooting or technical support advice before you return the product to us for a warranty claim. Some of these manufacturer provided support services are free and will be able to provide you the expert technical support to resolve your issue. This can assist with expediting the process with warranty claims with the manufacturer and TechFast. Not an expert but pretty sure this is an acl breach

Years ago I had an issue with CPL - they even had the audacity to tell me that ACL didn't apply to them. That's why I also avoid MSY. While you can sort anything out with the ACCC, who can be bothered?

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to take them to the tribunal over something worth $100 or so but they've since missed out on the chance of thousands of dollars spent and me bad mouthing them to anyone I know buying computer parts.
Scorptec on the other hand sold me a Kingston M2 drive that failed and they replaced it when I brought it on after opening an RMA ticket. The replacement was the KC3000 up from the KC2500.

I'm pretty sure MSY cleaned up their act a while ago, or at least the Adelaide store got better. That's why I also avoid MSY. While you can sort anything out with the ACCC, who can be bothered?

Not sure to be honest. But being on the same side of town as Scorptec and PCCG, and now even a PLE just around the corner from my work I've never really had a reason to find out. If I'm buying a few things at once from Scorptec they're always more than happy to match any price from PCCG (they're usually pretty similar anyway) but last time I did they mentioned they'll never match MSY. I guess it can be hard to shake an old reputation.
I’ve got an omnidesk and I love it, I’ve got the 153cm wide and use the sit stand which has been very helpful for my back. I use it for working from home as well as my usual computer gaming and stuff.

With MSY I think a fair bit of it was........... cultural. At least in Adelaide the store with shithouse customer support was run by young Chinese guys, much like restaurants, you don't go to Chinatown for good service, you go there for cheap reasonable food. Looking at the websites it looks like MSY and Umart have merged somewhat, and the last few times I was in MSY they were certainly more tolerant towards clueless people.you pay for what you get at the end of the day.
people that charge cheap prices generally have crap customer service as they dont invest in it. This is what MSY is/was. They charge super cheap prices but dont invest in customer service.
Places like PCG and Scoptec whilst charge a little more, they are there if you ever need them.
I recently did a warranty claim with PCCG and it was bloody seamless, within a week of sending back my MOBO and RAM kit they tested it, confirmed it was busted and sent me a brand new MOBO and new RAM kit. If i had lived in Melbourne they probably would have sorted in the next day. A+ company and that's why i dont mind paying the slightly higher price.
I assume the table top is designed for the desk, and the desk has a pretty solid support underneath.is it just the photo or is that desk thin as.
