Just back from the game and he was on the wing the majority of the game, best game he has played by far in that he took his opportunities

Davies was great in the last quarter with strong marking , for me he is better than Draper who is a bit wishy washy in a contest, cant afford to have him and cox in the same team

Riddle shows promise and is a keeper, Nichols looks the part but is not holding his marks , needs a solid pre season
Most confident I’ve been in Davies being able to step up to AFL. He played with real arrogance. Some telling marks and then in the last minute of the game a majestic fend off to then ran around a couple of players and deliver nicely i50. Not seen that too often from Davies.

Delean has been building. Has been much better the past couple of weeks. He often chews off too much and tries to run around and thru too many players…. Like he has too much unwarranted arrogance and not respecting his opponents. Also as mentioned a bit loopy with his kicks which invites the defender to take advantage either intercept, turnover or 50/50. He did a lot better with regards to not taking on players too much today and found himself in the right place and right time quite often. Let’s see him continue in this vein and get another contract potentially on rookie list.

Narkle and Walters back this week

Omac out so far, might be the holdover

Tregenza back too
AFL Emergencies are always out at this stage of the week.

Dudley and Aish are the other emergencies but didn't play for Peel in their last game so aren't 'outs'. Dudley was out with personal reasons and Aish travelled with the team to Gold Coast.

Between now and the end of the main season I hope to see a rotation of veterans (Walters, O'Meara and perhaps Fyfe) and best 22.

Dudley won't have the fitness base required and he and Walters could be given 2-3 games blocks.

O'Meara and Fyfe could do similar.

The opportunity to have experience and freshness if finals become a realistic expectation is massive

After that start when players started dropping & the old timers were long term outs before round 1.
I was reading some dark cards.
Realistically, we are looking pretty good as we hit the send half of the year.
We will be able to rest a few tired legs.
Horse & courses & all that.

"pulled up sore from training" - https://archive.md/ugvWk

Also fwiw, Carr sitting coz of WAFL Rules + West Coast don't have a WAFL reserves team. And OMac the holdover - Dudley and Aish added in.
Jesus. Probably another 1-2 weeks.

McDonald being the holdover is interesting.
