Can Rubio get Trump to threaten the AFL with a tariff or a bombing if they don't start putting names on the back of guernseys??

People on here regularly call the AFL a bush league, I haven't so far, but not allowing names of players on the back of a players guernsey is worthy of bush league status. What is their thinking of the kiddies, the bloody kiddies, excuse for not allowing it.

Takes up KFC space.

Rubio is a s**tstain of a human but any publicity for my club is good publicity

Look, I’ll be honest, if a the cost of a premiership is a Trump third term, I’m in.

I think this is an unpopular opinion but I agree. They should have continued it when they trialed it however long ago it was.

Kids wouldn't wear Inter Miami #10 shirts, but add Messi above the number and they sell like hotcakes worldwide.

Missed opportunity IMO. I think it'll happen eventually.

Lol comparing Messi to an AFL footballer.

Football culture is different to other codes.

Yeah footy is heaps different which is why we've adopted absolutely nothing from other major professional sports in the last 30 years.

For example the next time you go to a Port game you'll see tens of thousands of people standing up holding their scarves in the air while singing a song, something completely new that Aussie Rules fans invented.

Rubio is probably the most competent/least insane of a very very bad bunch. He has compromised himself and tarnished his reputation by participating in that administration, but maybe he can lead a sane reimagining of conservative politics over there at some point (if they ever conclude another free and fair election, an open question at this point). Wong on the other hand is very competent by any standard, despite the inherent messiness and compromises of the foreign affairs portfolio tending to obfuscate anything that might look like an achievement*. My only regret at this time is that she didn't get to present Trump with a Crows guernsey, to symbolise, well, a few things ;)

*insert famous quip about 'not wanting to know what goes into making sausages or foreign policy' here ;)

Jokes is jokes but Fos's creed doesn't mention 'doing illegal things to win flags'. Technicalities about sneakily rotating VP and President roles notwithstanding. For some reason the 'not an explicitly banned substance at the time' argument used by some Essendope-scandal apologists springs to mind here. eccchhhhh ;)

the whole handing guernseys to famous people who know nothing about AFL, is so cringe.
Agree..

2005 (apparently she rejected the signed suspenders).

But Alice Cooper wearing a Port Adelaide prison bars jumper on stage at Footy Park in 1977 - now THAT was iconic!

Alice repeated the dose when he toured in 2020 (Power guernsey that time). The man is a barnacle! :D

Was at the 1977 concert. Hearing the boos from parts of the crowd when he walked out with the jumper (#8 - Bucky's no) was joy to my ears. That's what wearing a traditional Port jumper should be about - upsetting the SANFL wannabes.

We won the Premiership that year too of course. Perfect!

I love Condi's expression. "What is that? Is it a dog blanket?"

Daniel Norton's entire Linkedin presence is based around him doing exactly that lol.

And then claiming it as some sort huge coup for the club. Bizarre.

Pretty sure Mark Cavendish would use the jumper we gave him recently to clean grease off his bike chain.

I am real confused about this. Who organised it and why? How is this a good idea especially so close to the Tredrea news?

The club hasn’t posted anything about it on socials so there must be someone sane down there.
