Everyone meets plenty of unpleasant people in their life. For example, a spoilt brat, somebody who is overly ambitious, or a busybody/gossip.

But have you ever met people with the opposite problem from the examples I mentioned above? As an example, I used to go out with a girl who could best be described as "unspoilt". She didn't come from an abusive or impoverished family background, but she was the forgotten kid, with her older brother and sister getting all of the parents' attention. As a result she grew up to be overly competetive, controlling and would stop at almost nothing to get what she wanted, especially with her career.

So have you ever met a person who was "unspoilt", who had no ambition at all, who was so disinterested in their surroundings it was infuriating, or who was the opposite of an another irritating personality type?

My girlfriend yelled at me for passing up a job offer at a bank on about 750 a week, because i liked working with people i like at my current job, where its further away, and making 450 on a good week.

Kinda describes me, my brother is super competitive, i like to do my own thing.

not sure if this counts but...

is it possible for a person to be pretentious and unpretentious at the same time, for example they make a point to NOT be pretentious, but simply by making that point and trying to avoid exhibiting any signs of pretentiousness, they are actually being pretentious in the process of doing so?

it's a bit like the "trying hard not to try-hard" thing, whereby someone tries to show that they are not a try-hard but are actually trying hard not to be a tryhard. what does that make them?

I know of a few spoilt brats in my time. We have a few of them at umpiring.

However, I am not fussed about many things. So you could put me in the unspoilt category.

yeah like emos, goths and punks who consider themselves non conformists by conforming to an image, how ironical.
