Go back to last weeks game & you will get your answer! :o

If Ian Perrie doesn't get dropped this week i'm covinced he's ****ing Ayres!

I still fail to understand how he gets as much game time as he does! Even Ben Marsh isn't as bad as him!

Perrie's no star, but he does give what he has to give.

I thought he was our best player against Brisbane last week, and was at worst useful today.

To say that he is worse than Ben Marsh is a much nastier and hurtful thing to say than that he is ****ing Ayres!!:D

Spot on macca, even with the last point.:D

I tought he started OK but then went missing. His 4th quarter was very good I tought. Last week he was sensational. He'll never be a star but he will always be an honest footballer that will give 110% more often than not.

No one is as bad as Ben Marsh.:)

Believe it or not I nearly posted the above exactly as you said it.

And then I remembered that we have Daniel Schell as well and I became confused!!! :D

Until Carey and Stevens are both fit and firing we can't even consider dropping Perrie. Even if he did have a shocker today. I don't think he plays CHF well (I assume that's where he was playing?), he was often coming well out of the forward 50 and then not choosing the best option when going forward. I'd like to see him leading out of the goal square at full forward. One thing I will say for him - I liked his efforts at ground level once the ball spilt to the floor; he tried, even if he wasn't that effective (he's not exactly the crumbing type :p).

Yep, that's it, he's never going to be class, half the time he isn't even effective, but he gives you a contest and 110% effort. Right now, there isn't another other option.

Ben Marsh isnt an option i agree but there cant be a spot for him when carey ant burton are fit surely

Gee Whiz

Were any of you actually at the game??

Perrie tried hard all day and was a good player I thought.

Its the likes of Goodwin just bombing it into the forward line are the problem.

Perrie was the only tall forward and given that point I thought his game was good.

No, I'd say that would be Mattner.

More likely.:D If Mattner isn't dropped this week then I'll go he.

On a positive note, how good where Begley (27 touches 13 marks) and Massie (22 touches 11 marks)??????:D

Fantastic!! The "forgotten" recruit may turn out to be the best in the long run.

Speaking of statistics, one good thing that can be said for Mattner was that he was our leading tackler with 6 tackles. (Although I can't recall his tackling really standing out so I wonder how many of these were effective?)

I can't see Perrie holding his spot in the side when we have a full list available within the next 2 weeks which would be a shame as he has had a fair season & only played a couple of forgettable games so far,

With Begley & Massie now starting to play good footy it makes for a very interesting next couple of weeks to see just what the ins & outs will be,

my line up would be,

FF, Burns, Carey, Welsh

HF, Edwards, Stevens, Burton

C, Stenglein, Ricciuto, Begley

HB, Smart, McGregor, Johnc*ck

FB, Hart Bassett, Torney

R, Clarke, Goodwin, McLeod.

Int, Biglands, Bickley, Doughty, Massie.

Is this at full strength? Who'd have thought Bode and Ladhams wouldn't make a full strength side at the beginning of the season?

Was not aware of how good Begley has proven & it was very hard to leave Bode out but his form lately has been down same with Ladhams & out of the 3 i gave the nod to Doughty,

Geez, that's a bloody good line-up noddy - only wish we could actually field it for once. :)

A fit and in form Matthew Bode would definitely be in there, probably in Doughty's place.

Doughty, Ladhams, Perrie for the 3 emergencies.

My only query with that side is that we seem to be at least one midfielder short than usual. (An in form Ladhams should walk into the side.) There seems to be an excess of half back flankers... Torney, Johncock, Begley, Massie, Smart (although Nige can play KP too)... we're becoming Port Adelaide.

Bit of truth in that Dave. Bode for Doughty helps a little in the on-ball area as Doughty is more of a wingman. Love to have the selection problem though.
