I go to each test held in Perth, unfortunately it looks like I'll be away for this one.

Perth usually gets good crowds for the test matches.... dont know where you got that information from

Vis, I'll probably go on the first or second day of the test match. I'm really looking forward to the Australia vs South Africa one dayer on Feb 3!

Oh sweet!! We do get to watch SA play! I thought the only live SA action I was going to see was them belting the western Warriors bowling over for six three times an over. Great news!

Australia vs NZ test - will attend 2 days play
WA vs SAf test - 1 or 2 days, dunno yet.
Aust vs SAf 1Day'r - I think the whole 5 days!

However, I reserve the right to rescind the apology if I can find a site that has crowd figures on it and build up some sort of flimsy argument from that

Fatty Rouge, if you brought up this argument about 4 or 5 years ago I would definately agree with you. We used to pull shocking crowds for our test matches. Better management of the WACA and the success of the Aussie cricket team has got the public interested again!

I'm going on the opening day (Friday) of the Perth test! 2 weeks from today.

Did you get your crowd stats from a website?

Fat - you'd be spewing if I said I made up those statistics ... but I didn't. I got them out of the Inside Edge cricket magazine which featured the 16 test wins in a row. I hate their new quarterly format, it stinks!
