Says he is happy to get to the blues
- says he can play HB or wing and will out his head over the ball
- says he was immature at adelaide and has grown up in the last year
- says injuries restricted him
- ratten rang him just after the PSD
- Sounds determined
Good pick up

Like this insight, he had a monkey on his shoulder and acknowledges it which is the first step to heading in the right path.....lets hope he can remember this if he is ever tempted to stray in the future. Also appreciated that the AFL system is fairly ruthless so this suggests he appreciates he has been given a new start and will work hard to repay that.

Much classier footballer than Wiggins...I eventually see him playing a Heath Scotland role across Half Back.

We seem to be quietly accumulating quite a few of these sorts of players. Grigg, Hadley, Browne, Walker and even Gibbs could play that sweeping HB role that Scotland has made his own over the past couple of seasons.

the kid has some great wraps... his achievements prior to being drafting were great... refer to footydraft.com.au link on another thread about him...

he was u18 all australian, SA u18 mvp etc etc... you would assume he can play the game and that his attitude probably stuffed him up. With a heavy hand back at the helm of the blues in regards to pratt, kernanhan, ratten etc etc I am sure they can pull him into line. After all who would give up the chance to play alongside players of the ilk of Judd, fevola, Murphy, Waite, Walker etc?!

“I have learnt a lot and know I am more mature now (than when he was originally drafted) and looking back I think I suffered from the ‘Draft Honeymoon’, I was young and probably thought it was just going to happen. I will certainly not allow this new opportunity to pass me by.

The guy strung some good SANFL performances together this year but wasnt selected in the side to the surprise of many. When he was delisted, the reason for him not getting selected became obvious.

Or did he get pissed off at the fact that he strung the good games together only to not get picked which lead him to the drink?!:p:rolleyes:

He is a good pick up, he can play. His off field discretions really are minor and blown way out of proportion. I watched a fair bit of him out at Norwood and he played some good football for us. Best of luck to him.

if he sorts out his off field drinking then you have got yourselves a top player - would be a late 1st round pick in most drafts and worth it

courage personified and he's a real goer

my only concerns.......and they are minor at this stage, is that we seem to be gathering a number of mids who have had significant injury concerns, especially knees and hips/groins, which may affect their pace.

Will be interesting to see how Pfeiffer, Hadley and of course Judd progress through the pre-season.

Bentick and Blackwell must be getting a little worried.
