Whilst I give the Blues some credit in trying to become a success here and now, their long term planning is a major concern.

Essendon have recruited with a view to looking at covering the loss of eventual retirements.

Carlton decided to make household changes to shore up a coaching position and try to get immediate success.

Now this cricket game tomorrow is just going to be a barrel of laughs and well worth the $2 donation for it.

I'd suggest you go along and enjoy it..it should be a lot of fun.

Essendon have the lowest average age in the AFL for their players, we have just found a future replacement for Dustin Fletcher (who can even play on the wing dammit!), we have now 3-4 very young and talented small forwards, a cemented CHB with 5 years left in him, a gun full forward with possibly 8 years left in him, a whole ethera of talented mid-fielders, under the age of 22, a brilliant and corageous captain who sparks the team when moving into the midfield, who is also a forward markin presence, and johnson boys who are now cemented in the bomber midfield, along with solomon, ramanauskas, peverill and the likes.

*pauses and takes deep breath*

Essendon have over 10 players who could easily play for the seniors team but cant make it due to the extreme depth of the club. I do agree carlton is on the way up, but essendon is going up at 100 km/h with sucess within the next 2-3 years on the cards. Carlton still have many years of development and bonding before they can even challenge essendon.
