Here is my Phantom Draft for 2014. Clearly GWS' selection at #7 will shape the draft and Essendon will probably be the benefactor of a deep draft at #17, as will Carlton at #19. This could be the year with the most "hits" as opposed to "misses" in the first round, although there isn't as much talent at the very top end. The first round was done a few days ago, I do now think that McCartin will go at #1.

The link has all the picks and detailed profiles, which I couldn't post due to the character limit.

Is Jake lever going to be a KPP like Cale Hooker or a third tall rebounder like Andrew Mackie

you don't even mention Brisbane or Port Adelaide who do you see after pick 40 being worth drafting for these teams
I really, really rate Brisbane's draft already, let alone their trade period. Dawson I think is top 30 quality and if he had a free run with injuries, could have gone in the first round (doubt Brisbane would have matched with Beams deal). Andrews I haven't seen as much of, but he has terrific hands and lots of scope for development. Port might look for the best available slider or Josh Glenn, while Brisbane will likely to take best available. Impossible to tell who that may be in a draft this wide open.
Great draft for North. Nice work!!
Just the way it panned out, I think it's a really deep draft with at least 60 draftable players, a big improvement on last year's fairly shallow draft. With the picks North have, they've set themselves up for another A+ draft (I rated Dumont top 15 last year, near top 10, and he was starting to show why in the VFL).

I think he's going to be a rebounding, third defender, a bit of a mix of the two but more like Hooker. That said I have a very limited u18 viewing of his - with his injury - to make a judgment as to what he projects to be at AFL level. The plan seems to have been to mix it up with Jake at Calder, stints in midfield along with down at half-back.
