Poor:
M. Gardiner and Koschitzke whilst in ruck (Kozi was good around the ground though) - Got absolutely dominated by Simmonds. We really need King back, he's miles ahead of M. Gardiner

Disagree with that. Gardiner was good when he was in the ruck. Kosi hardly won a hitout all night and couldn't match Simmonds leap. Simmonds leap didn't work so well when Gardiner was rucking because of the bigger body. When Simmonds jumped into Kosi, he won each time because Kosi fell over. Kosi should never play in the ruck again. He was ordinary but Gardiner was respectable.

Another thing, I'd like to see Gram's kicking efficiency, especially for long kicks. Would be pretty bad I'd say.

Yeah I'd agree Gardiner was much better in the duels than Kozi, but I'd still say overall Simmonds beat him in the ruck. Then when you take into account Gardiner's atrocious around the ground work (3 handballs and a tackle I think) it was a pretty poor game from him. King on the other hand, some of his ruck-work was absolutely brilliant before his injury, and he was great around he ground as well. We definitely need King back to first ruck, Gardiner second ruck and Kozi to full forward (dunno what to do with the G-Train) in my opinion.

And I agree with Gram as well, I dunno what it is with him, maybe when he racks up the possessions eventually enough of his down field torps result in goals that we forget about the shockers, but when he doesn't get enough of it it becomes apparent he's wasting a lot of his kicks. But yeah he's out of form and had a shocker last night, needs to lift soon.

I thought it was a great win considering the injuries we had in the second half. For a team playing mediocre football we still in the mix for 8. I am sure the player that are being criticized at the moment, form will come back. With the injuries at the I hope that they give Allen a run if G-Train is dropped and Geary.

Ive got a bit of a soft spot for Gram in a game where there is so much frustration with short chipping and passing going nowhere till a turnover occurs sometimes i love just seeing someone run bang the ball long. With the more inside 50s the more chance you have of scoring sometimes i wonder instead of trying to pinpoint pass and work the ball up forward safe passing just slam the ball long to a contest up forward and keep putting pressure on the defence. There will be turnovers but the ball will be down our end and anything can happen . We can win free kicks, crumb goals or just outmark in a contest i just think at the end of the day the more inside 50s the more goals you will score.

i have to say in my view we were extremely lucky to win i know it was courageous with all the injuries etc but the majority of the game i was disapointed - smashed clearances, ruck was verryy disapointing and raph clarke frustrated me alot! i also noticed grams lack of effort in chasing and well fraser just struggled. still nevertheless happy we got the win cant believe wer 5th! but it will be interesting to see how we go without riewoldt now hopefully someone like allen can come in and step up because i just dont think we can have fraser in atm

great game, it had everything! good, bad and the ugly!

enjoyed the stirring in the stands, good clean fun, like the footy should be. except for 1 toff in front of me when harvey came off in the first quarter, sucking in air, and i said " suck it up grandpa" !! i think even Harvs had a chuckle with the comment.

spewin we didn't win, but those are the breaks!

gehrig inclusion was a poor choice, i said that last week as well!

young jones should have been in the side, before clarke, more saints fans bagging him then tiger fans..... i love it!

Was a good win by the boys given the lack of opportunities in the centre. Tigers mids would have been licking their lips at each centre bounce.

Raph Clarke has copped it here, perhaps I missed something due to watching the game from home. He made his usual holding the ball mistake that p!sses me off to no end, I swear he would average that at least once per game, but other than that I thought he played ok (and I am a massive critic of him!).

Gram... Chasing sounds like it hasn't improved... I didn't notice it Saturday night as much as previous weeks, but it is disappointing to say the least. I think he's relying on his 2006 form, where booting it long to contests paid off. He is a great player but perhaps should lower his eyes 'a little more'.

Milne copped it here last week. I said he'd be better with Schneids there... And I think Gehrig helps his form as well.

Gehrig... Will get better. He just needs to monster these kids that line up on him.

M Gardiner and Armitage didn't appear to get much game time... Do you think this was pre-meditated?

I wouldn't be making any changes except the forced ones for next week. In King (heard Bakes is injured) hopefully, and Allen (for Riewoldt), Blake (for Goose), and Geary (for X).
