Will unfortunately be pushed a few selections later talent wise by academy selections, so hopefully something still there. Rioli around the mark but not surprised if he goes a bit earlier so not getting hopes up.

Hasn't made a decision yet. Seems a decent player but i think we have enough of his type now. If we're going for mids I would like us to prioritise speed and ability to be dangerous in front of goal.. Dunkley from what I've seen is more of your Adams/Greenwood/DeGoey type.

You're probably right, but you'd have to say with a pick as low as 27 as our first, you'd be better suited to take "best available".

If a Burton or Ah Chee type were available, you'd definitely take them.

I really wish it was a possibility to actually know who was going to be available..

I wonder if we upgraded our pick with someone specific or mind or we just wanted to climb up the draft ladder a bit

Think at that depth we, as in fans, won't be able to pick who it is, but confident Hine and crew will find someone who can be decent for us. You look at what we've drafted with picks 30 and beyond in recent years and how they've gone, we'll get something we can work with.

The pies need X faxtor type player, maybe at 27 the best available option is conservative, outside the square drafting brought in players like Leon Davis at mid 40's pick back in a day. The recent trading has proved to me that the pies are happy to accelerate towards a flag sooner rather than later, the rebuild is complete. The next 2 years of no 1st rounders says that the core is in place. The rest of the picks should be upgrades for existing players and key position back and forward.

Just a side note, 3 omens that I have noticed for next year. The pies picked up a former demon. The saints once again have been ****ed over by the Bombers in trade week, Lovett, now Carlisle, and round 1 Pies vs Dogs. We all know what happen that year.

There is way too much hype about Rioli, he wont even be ready for like another 2-3 years. Yes hes very talented and tested very well but hes like a twig. He's literally smaller than Brad Dick when we picked him up. He's not going to be the walk up start everyone thinks hes going to be. Cyril is actually pretty stocky in build and has always been like that. Daniels alot leaner, he'll get crunched alot for someone of that size.
Having said that I'd love to pick him up but people need to realise he aint no cyril....yet.
