I'm starting to almost hope now that one of the 5 mids slides to us because it removes all doubt of Hine taking too big a risk on Stephenson- a risk we do not need to take in this position.

I'm still hoping it's Fogarty but the safe bet is to have North take Fogarty at 4 leaving us to take the midfield slider.

So Fogarty is another midfielder? He looks good in his highlights but we really don’t need to be getting another mid... give me Naughton please as he fills a need. Our team needs a spine, let’s staet building one. The only KKP we’ve drafted is Moore and he picked himself with a father son.

You think Stephenson is a Boom or Bust Prospect. It be up to North IF 1 of the Mid falls to us

Midfield is the weaker of 3 positions he has played. Will probably start as a forward but looks more comfortable in the backline imo.

I think after the Scharenberg and Freeman debacles can you imagine another top 10 prospect failing especially with his reported heart condition which everyone knows about?

If we were picking in the teens ok.

At 6 it's a risk we don't need to take.

That is the Risk with any draft pick. Nothing is Certain

Pick 6 be a Curse in the Past

That's true however we know about his heart condition so the risk is a lot higher with him.

True but We failed Steve J in 2006 and still waiting for his Ankle to go

Stephenson is very exciting, would add the x and run and carry we lack but you raise a serious issue.

Fact is if he did not have this ? mark he would be top 3.

Stephenson is a good fit, some posters mentioned earlier would be a similar selection to Daisy which is fitting. The young fella is quick, has a good tank and is lethal around goal. Not my first choice but still happy!

I wouldn’t select Fog anyway I think Brander will be the better player.

I love it how you pick a player you know we have no chance of recruiting so you can whinge about it later.

It's not really as much of a grey area as with a knee or other joint that can go a number of ways due to further injuries and degeneration.

If a top cardiologist tells us that his heart condition is unlikely to ever cause a problem, it's not like he's going to have a heart attack next week that will throw his career into complete doubt, like it would if a guy like Aidan Bonar did another ACL in the preseason, for instance.
