Pick 8 was an absolute gem to score. Anything else was a bonus. With Didak potentially out, hopefully 'Medders' can kick a couple goals a game.
Will 8 + Medhurst be better than the reported 16 + Fletcher, maybe. Many will say we got more than Taz deserved, and thats probably true. Medhurst better scrub up though. I'm happy early on.

Its way better. Fletcher is old and slow and cant kick. Medhurst will give us better service than Fletcher. Pick 8 obviously is better than pick 16.jimmy_clement#8 said:

As long as our recruiters to their job this is a great deal. I honestly did not think we would get a top 10 pick for taz. He is 26 and seems to have real problems getting through a season in top shape. Medhurst was just the icing. I would have done the deal without him.

Freo were only gonna give us pick 13 two days ago, now we've got pick 8, and a player that has kicked 50 goals in a season (Tarrant has only done that twice in nine years remember).

I don't believe we have the list to seriously compete for a flag, maybe the club has the same opinion and an extra first round draft pick in the "deepest draft in X years" is the first rebuilding step.
