My bad, should have been 2004. Expectations were high after finishing 5th the previous year, but a run of injuries dashed those hopes.

I was actually trying to point out that Connolly just picked the same side, week in, week out, regardless of form. And never ever seemed to play any recruits.

I swear some of the players just rocked up to play. Or didn't rock up to play as the case may be...


And I agree about MJ. He always plays well in important games - he's one of our few. Ironic I know. So, in each of our more important games of late, he's done his usual handy big game contribution.

But he obviously suffers from the classic chronic understimulation syndrome. So, I think he needs to be on drugs.

Look I know it's kind of a running gag and you hate MJ anyway but he's quietly worked his way into decent if not spectacular form. He's been finding the footy and using it well lately.

Disagree strongly. He was rubbish last week. I realise the whole team was rubbish, but Johnson was not decent, he was rubbish. Off the top of my head:
Kangas game - Rubbish
Hawks game - Johnson rubbish
Carlton game - Johnson rubbish
St Kilda game - Johnson medocre

His semi-resurgence in form is a myth IMO, trade or delist
