Thought it might be fun to track our draft picks given a few of them are tied in with the finishing positions of a number of clubs across the competition.

This year we're 'death-riding' the Crows and Dogs with both their second round picks up our sleeve, and the Cats to a lesser extent given we hold their 4th.

FWIW I had the clubs finishing as follows in my preseason ladder prediction:

Geelong - 2nd
Adelaide - 6th
Western Bulldogs - 9th

Post-finals adjustment I had the three picks therefore being 28, 31/32 and 69/70.

I am not too concerned by the Cats given their 4th appears to hold very little value, but the other two picks could certainly be of value.

After round one I'm pretty happy with where I had the Cats and Crows finishing up, although I might have to adjust my expectations of the Dogs - they looked awful against the Giants, and Libba is a huge loss.

We all hope the three clubs fall in a heap, but what are your expectations of them this season?

EDIT: Let's not turn this into a list management or draft thread, we already have those on the board. This is purely intended to be a light-hearted observation of the three clubs in question as we lament in their success and celebrate their failure this year.

That dogs pick could end up being an alright one.

Libba is a tremendous loss to their engine room, they've got some troubles down back and just to add fuel to the flame there's the whole 'trade bait' saga with Libba & Dahl (& Wallis? was there others mentioned too?...).

Hahaha was just in the middle of creating a thread just like this .....good job Jeremias

Would be interested in a week to week rolling pick numbers

As it stands, I believe these are what we would have if the draft was today (6 picks)

7, 19, 26, 64, 79, 97

Dogs could easily finish 10th-14th this season, yielding us pick 22-26, would be awesome.

Alongside pick 30 or so from Adelaide, that could net us two decent players or an upgrade to a mid-late first round pick.

Pick 8 and pick 15 would be very nice heading into this draft.
Spot on, the ideal situation has us making two discretionary picks before having our FS Prospects bid on

clever thread, j-man - we get to look forward to november without the usual sense of humiliation..........
Haven’t been on BF long?

Humiliation is always just around the corner

Can see the wheels falling off at the Dogs this season.

Might be able to trade back their pick for a player we want

Agree, reckon you've just about nailed it Mr_ Plow and if we were to contemplate to trade say next year's 1st rounder too even better, surly fetch us another top 10 pick.

Anyone left on the list we are willing to trade and has value to other clubs?
