just had a mate around and we grabbed a few meat lovers pizzas. bloody beautiful bacon on it, real rashers cooked on the bbq rather than that small stuff. soooooo crispy and nice.
BIGGEST RUINER was the sauce...tomato sauce WTF??? who puts tomato sauce on a pizza? it was genuine heinz tomato sauce and it was smeared all over the pizza biggest kill-joy!
Has anyone else has a kill-joy pizza topping?

p.s. wtf are the trivia questions on the superdry caps??? how am i meant to know who invented the three finned surfboard?

I really like tomato sauce on pizza, but I'm not so much a fan of BBQ sauce.


I'm difficult to have a pizza with though because I have trouble if I have too much cheese (some lingering lactose intolerance from childhood). Most of the time if I order pizzas with friends I just have it anyway and deal with the stomach pains rather than be difficult but when I'm on my own I'll usually order sans cheese and the pizza people usually stare at me as though I've asked them to slice up their own mother and put her on my pizza :(

oh man great call
but the tomato sauce im talking is not the italian-style napolitan tomato sauce but the heinz tomato sauce out of a bottle, borderline unheard of on a pizza!!!!
and lingering lactose intolerance i can relate to but does not seem as severe as yours....unlucky times for you

What actually works really well is when you put plain tomato sauce on as well as napolitan tomato sauce, it adds a sweetness that is lovely. On it's own, probably not.

Mine was a lot worse when I was younger, nowadays it seems to be a 50-50 type of proposition. Sometimes it triggers and sometimes it doesn't and I have no idea what the difference is between the two situations.
 
Anyone remember the Duck Pizza they had out the back of the members during the last Ashes Test? Was sensational! I think I had it for four of the five days for lunch!
 
The only way that Heinz Big Red belongs on a Pizza is if youve already got everything cut up and organised, made the dough, rolled it out, its 10pm on a Friday, mates are over and you realise you havent got any pizza sauce. Then, and only then, is it acceptable, and only just.

Biggest pizza killjoy....the last time I got a pizza hut pizza.

A good pizza shouldnt have too much cheese on it.
 
Good Life Pizza's are pretty damn awesome. Or the pizzas down at Oscar's in McLaren Vale, worth the drive especially if you have wine at the same time! :)

Can't go past a good home made pizza though. I'm known for a killer Tandoori Chicken Pizza, hehe.

I hate pineapple on a pizza
BBQ sauce doesn't really do it for me... too sweet
I don't get why some of my mates only ever buy meatlovers

I always seem to end up ordering whatever pizza has olives and anchovies on it.

One of the best in my opinon. They also have some creative dessert names, like Filthy Rich.

After a dodgy experience with a pizza bar near Mum's (the garlic bread had some dead lice in it, need I say any more), I strictly stuck to Pizza Hut and Dominoes for several years before earlier this year I was short on time and decided to check the pizza bar near my place - now they're my pizza bar of choice.

Me too. Fruit on a pizza? Just doesn't make sense.

Would you have grapes? Pears? Bananas?

They have equal claims to be on a pizza as pineapple does.

Good to see some more lovers of Amalfi here. Truly, the best pizza bar in the state, if not the country. Their pasta is bloody good too, and their wine list is pretty interesting.
 
Amalfi's is pretty damn good. Fellini's on O'Connell St do good pizza too, but avoid Brunelli. Awful pizza. How do you make a pizza soggy?

Anyway ... I'm happy with just pepperoni and cheese. Mmm.
 
Just got back from a couple of weeks down at Victor and finally went to that indian pizza place in Encounter Bay. Had a Chicken Yiros pizza wich was sen-****ing-sational!

Less good was the hour and forty minutes between ordering and eating.
