The same guy that gave me pretty accurate stuff out of the club during the saga (works in the legal area) has told me that club would be looking at a 1+1 deal for chappy.. initial discussions and basic medical has been done.. full medical to be completed soon.

Barring major shock.. it is anticipated that chappy will sign with EFC.

Carlton are considered a 'back up' at this stage.. and they have not made a firm offer..

It probably isn't any more reliable that ANY trade source.. but at the same time.. there are lots of people that are around these things at the club and most of them happy to talk about it..

Myers by himself would be worth a second rounder, except he's worth more than that to us so it wouldn't happen. The two together a first round pick you'd expect..and it would want to be high

No chance, Kommer and Merrett are both harder at the ball ball than he is. He's about level with Davey imo.

I would much prefer Kommer and Merrett, with Davey as depth. Chappy as well if he does infact come to us.

P1: North Melbourne's recruiters want to be able to be creative with their first two picks.
P2: They "didn't have a choice" in selecting McDonald (apparently that means they "lost" their first round pick)
