Adcock + Hill vs Malceski + Collier?

I cannot decide these 2.

Malceski - Injury concerns? Although I have read he has been training well.

Adcock - Can score just as well and maybe even better then Malceski IF he's played down back like he was in '07

Hill - Will he get enough games?

Collier - Voss says he hopes Collier can play a majority of games down back.

Adcock an hill by a fair margin.

Hmmm... I was leaning towards Mal + Collier/Hill. I reckon Collier will put up some pretty decent scores, at least well enough to upgrade. He's bulked up over the summer too
Malceski disappointed at the end of last year. We still don't know how the experimental treatment will fare. With the addition of shaw and the return of fosdike and the absence of kennelly and for the moment barry, malceski probably won't spend much time in the middle. Adcock has a lot to prove to his new coach and should get more time in the midfield. Hill will rack up the stats.

Selwood + Malceski vs Kornes + Myers

I dont think either of Malceski or Myers will be keepers, so im leaning towards the Kornes side at this stage purely because he is a better keeper than Selwood. He hasnt missed a game since 2003 and is coming off a lean(er) year, so his price is decent. Hopefully having Carr back in the side will free him from those heavy tagging roles.

Do people see Myers as being in the Dons best 22? Im not so sure he is at this stage, will have to monitor that closely.

McIntosh + Myers vs Ottens + Houlihan

I think Hamish will suffer from a lack of TOG (Laidley loves to over-rotate) and he has poor endurance anyway. Ottens could average 85-90+ if he keeps up last season's late form. Is he fit?

Myers is a more unique pick than Houlihan and will be a great DTer in the future. Not sure on either in terms of durability and if this will be Myer's breakout season. Houlihan could be the safer pick.

Hille+Hill+Suban+40k
or
Mcintosh+Jesse W. Smith+Hill?
If all are starting, I'd go option 2. If Suban will be on your bench, then I would lean towards option 1.

I've just been fiddling around with my team again... toying with the idea of only playing 2 keepers in the forward line instead of 3, but playing 2 rookies. Downgrading Didak would get me a 5th premium in defence so I wouldn't play any rookies there.

Option 1: Didak, McIntosh, Hill
Option 2: Ziebell, Simmonds, Shaw

I hate it when you always fall 1 or 2 k short of the player you want. I wanted Masten and Kornes in my team but was 1k short. So i downgraded Masten to Reilly and upgraded Kornes to Swan. I than thought to myslef i wonder what i could get with Haselby in my side as i think he is a better pick than Reilly (If reilly plays down back like he did against cats). I than thought i might be a chance to get an A/B/C instead of Swan but found that i was again 1k short of J.Corey a superstar dtmer. Who will avg 110 and be a great captain option for the first 5 rounds (Expected to dominate against these sides). I think i might keep the 30k in the kitty as it gives a bit of flexability along with Swan who i think could avg 105 this year, as the magpies increase their posses count and change their style of play. He also gives a great captaincy option, am about to look at how he will start the year off in 09.

Also no one anwsered my comparison on the other thread
Masten + Griffen + Pavlich
OR
Griffen + Vince + Sylvia
OR
Masten + Sylvia + Kornes (well couldnt quite get him so it has to be Richo or Murphy instead)

I gave a detailed analysis of what i thought yet didnt get anything in return. Any thoughts??

It's a tough one. I would take the first option: Masten + Griffen + Pavlich
Masten and Griffen are both expected to step up this year and are both very well priced. They only need to each average 80 to see some improvement, and are likely to score more than that. Pavlich is Pavlich, can't really go wrong.

kangaroo: I would go option 2 for sure. You get a better ruckman and a solid back option at a good price, compared to Didak who may be a little overpriced.

McIntosh + J. Selwood vs Hille + Masten

McIntosh is good value but im not so sure hill get back to his previos best form....selwood is set for a big year, but so is Hille and masten.
Im leaning towards Hille and masten just so i know i have more of a lock and leave situation set up with the Rucks (I already have cox)
Any feed back apreciated;)

And Skipworth vs Swallow vs Mackay vs Coughlan vs Butler

DREAM TEAM (note - Dream Team) wise who do people think is going to be better in this 2009 season between Bryce Gibbs and Joel Selwood???

Bryce Gibbs v Joel Selwood in dream team 2009.

Tough pick but I am leaning towards Selwood at present.... Can anyone offer their insight onto this??? Thanks all. :thumbsu:

Yeah he isnt in my team anymore. He doesnt get the cheap possies that the other Geelong mids get, and as such is going to be tagged a lot more this year. Very damaging player.

Not at all and i completely agree, but i dont think coaches are just gonna completely ignore selwood cos abletts next to him. May not be the main tag, but its a whole new ball game when youve got someone watching your every move.
