That's basically what it comes down to. Do we know how long Warnock and Jamar will be out for? I'm not really convinced Warnock is even good enough to be a #1 ruck just yet.

Well considering they have both been put on the LTI list then i presume 8+ weeks. I don't like the fact that Blues fans say Warnock is our number 1 ruckman. He is yet to prove much at AFL, i think he'd be in our 22 but to me he isn't our number 1 ruckman just yet either.

malceski vs drummond

&

ziebell vs yarran vs hentchel as final forward... totally unsure on this one...

i think malceski will score more points in the end of the year from playing more games and from being with mattner as the 2 main sydney backline possesion getters.

i have hentschel and ziebell in my team one will be on the bench and one will start. will decide later

Pav+Didak+Bock+Ziebell

or

Richo+S Johnson+Enright+Hentschell

The other thing I can't decide upon is Kornes v Swan.

Any thoughts?

Anyone keen to help?

Also does anyone think I'm crazy not going for Grimes or Hill as the 7th back or bench spot?? I've had them in my plans the whole pre-season, but have decided to stick with a player in the $200-250k price range who is best 18 at their club, has showed potential in previous years and still young. He is assured of a game each week. Only downside, then raines is the final backman with Suban/Petrenko warming the bench.

Although Drummond is a massive injury risk if you were going to go for one of them i'd suggest drummond as he will ave mid 80's to low 90's while i don't think malceski will be in that bracket.
I was on the Ziebell bandwagon for quite some time but i think laidley won't play him all that much. i havent heard much of him in his last 2 matches. Yarran will be an easy selection as his squad will be shown a bit earlier than the others. Hentschell could be good i reckon his average would be 50-60. Personally i'd go with yarran, but thats just my gut feeling.

Can u rate these guys from 1-4 and give info why if possible.
Hasleby
Grigg
Tuck
t.Selwood

i'd say

tuck, haselby, grigg, t.selwood...

but i think grigg pulled his hammy in the game against freo, not sure how bad...

i've been hearing alot about tuck and how he will be very good,

haselby was a very good player but is coming back from injury

and t.selwood just dont rate him IMO

I'd go Pav/Dids/Bock/Ziebell. Pav, Dids and Bock are better than Richo, SJ and Enright IMO, and I think Ziebell will score aswell as Hentschel anyway.

If you think you've found a good player from $200-$250k who is certain to play, then I'd take him over Grimes/Hill.

My problem...
Fisher (90ppg) and Adcock (75-80ppg)
vs
Bock (85ppg) and McMahon (85ppg)

I think option 2 gives me 2 definite keepers and option 1 gives me 1, with another potential keeper. My predicted averages are in brackets and going by that, they are pretty even IMO so I'd like to know what others think. Cheers.

If they are the averages you think, go option two and bring in Fisher later in the year, that way its less trades, at 75 there is no way you could keep Adcock all year. Its always better to have 2 keepers than one for the same average.

I had the same issue with my mids,

Ablett Selwood Gibbs Knights + 20K

VS

Swan Kornes Selwood Gibbs

Ive chosen the second because it requires one less trade through the year.

I think it's definitely worth trading down Malceski, going by his PS he's no guarantee to score much better than Hill anyway. I think Knights will score about 10 PPG more than Foley, Didak will score about 10 PPG more than O'Keefe and Dalziell will score about 5 PPG more than Selwood, and those approx. 25 points a game will be much more than what Malceski gets over Hill IMO. Not 100 percent sure on getting Cloke though, I don't rate him. Any other downgrades you could do to get Cloke up to a Giansiracusa or Chapman type?

Thanks for the help.

Went for a massive team change by doing these trades:

Hille to McIntosh
Thomas to Jack Riewoldt
Suban to Broughton (Bench Trade)

Meant i had the cash to do these:

Knights, S Johnson, Cloke to Joel Selwood, Franklin, Pavlich

I know exactly who youre talking about ;)

Could be an excellent option but imo I cant really see him doing enough to be a keeper, especially when Houlihan at a slightly higher price has the potential to do so. If you are excited by his (your 200-250k pick) last NAB challenge score in the Freako email, dont be. He essentially played against Coburg.

But are you crazy for not having Grimes/Hill as your 7th back? Absolutely not. Dont get me wrong, I jumped right on Grimes after his massive NAB performance. But he didnt play last week and was left out this week because of "soreness". In my eyes this doesnt bode too well for his chances of playing consecutive games week in week out this season.

People's thoughts on Firrito? Moving into an onball role after initially playing there while at Box Hill. Lack of KP defenders has meant he's had to move down back, but now Laidley has indicated he will make a permanent move to the midfield. Ticks a lot of boxes...gets good tackle and mark numbers and has the size to win a lot of possession. Reports suggest he was impressive in the practice match up at Bendigo.

A couple of questions I'm having with my team at the moment.

Goodes vs Kerr vs Foley

Richo vs Delidio vs Franklin

K Cornes vs S.Thompson

Adcock vs Drummond

Fraser vs McIntosh

McPhee vs Fisher

Foley
Delidio
K Cornes
Drummond (if your willing to risk it)
Mcintosh
Fisher

Hope that helps your decisions..

Yeh that is pretty much along the lines I was thinking. I think I will stick with Franklin, although he hurts you with free kicks against, I can see him playing further upfield this yr (eg against west coast on weekend, 4 goals and 26 possies) vs Delidio who I think may play more up foward this year.

I've gone Drummond as my risk player vs an Adcock or Malceski.

McIntosh I guess I hope Petrie plays back and Hale up foward thus McIntosh to get the hitouts and play ruck.

Another couple of questions I then have is.

Delidio vs Chapman vs Brown ( I have room for two in my team)

Gram vs Gilbee vs Milburn (I can have one)

Judd vs Kerr vs Goodes vs Foley (I can have two)

Fisher vs Goddard (I can have one)

What are people thoughts on Sam Butler. He averaged 80 before having injuries the past 2 years. He has been playing well pre-season and is only 218K

In a nutshesll he is 50K cheaper than Reilly, Has and Tuck

Gram vs Gilbee vs Milburn (I can have one) Milburn - Still underated as a dter

Judd vs Kerr vs Goodes vs Foley (I can have two) Hard choice. If its out of them 4. Judd and Kerr. But look at the other options there aka Boak, Van Berlo, S.Burgoyne,B.Sewell.

Fisher vs Goddard (I can have one)
Goddard. But everyone has him so Fisher will be more unique

Obviously the reason I'm throwing up those names is that I'm cash tied. At the moment I've got Judd/Foley although I could with a trade (Gilbee for Adcock) I could upgrade that to Judd/Burgoyne.
