Hearing some news that not all is well amongst the group. It seems some egos are out and about. Scott might need to assert some authority.

Not good to hear, but some of the blokes need to get a grip.

so is the same person who has given you all your other inside info that usually turns out to be complete crap?

Scaringly on the mark here _Me_, but to what extent, I havent been given all the info.....what I do know is that certain unrest that players were feeling, was courtesy of peoples that may or may not have left the club in the last few weeks.....so hopefully things can settle down.....

Me thinks TMA's "source" clearly has no ability to differentiate between "Scarlett" and "the playing group". Either that or it's October and the source, with no footy to watch, has nothing better to gossip about.

You mean that because the coach, most high profile player and an assistant have all left and we have a new coach there is unrest among the squad.

2+2=4

Assuming this is correct info.
If it was round 10 I would be concerned.
But it's not, it's 6 months before the season starts.

Could not be a better situation I think. Shake them up. There's plenty of time to get the group acting as one again.

Geelong2k9, get rid of that ridiculous tag at the bottom of your posts, makes you look like a Richmond supporter. We love our players on this board and your tag line defines you as an imbecile that would be more suited to the tiger or even magpie boards

The voices have returned?

righto

i am amazed that everyone seems to think me crazy

many of whom were staunch blake supporters till this year
many of whom were staunch gazza is staying

anyhose, not all is well at catland

and by the way there is a reason why the club looked after stokes so well - he saved a few sods

anyhose computer bandits keep it up, and then when caro tells you the same thing come on here and announce it as a fact

can confirm that ME is on the money here. It is from what I hear though, only 3 or 4 more senior blokes, mainly upset that

a) Sando was passed over
b) have hated Scott since he played against them. Reckon he is a "muppet". (Their word)

Im sure that a month into preseason, actually speding time with him, it will all be ok.

If this is true I'm sure they'll find themselves in the reserves firstly and then on the scrap heap if they can't get over it.

Sounds like 2006, when the club came second for many.

LOL.....makes me look like a Richmond supporter??? How do you know what I look like??? If you want to resort to barbs and cheap jibes, you can take a hike to Bay 13, or even the Richmond or Collingwood boards. The mods havent had an issue, if they do, then I will take it off. I leave it there for my own reasons; and despite what you naievely may have assumed, it is not directed towards Shannon Byrnes. He is a good bloke the times I have met him. Does that satisfy your whining????

Well maybe a few senior players need to pull their heads in and stop living on past glories. I hope C.Scott gives the place a really good shakedown and knocks a few big heads together.

If you were at the Geelong races you would have heard a few of the boys expressing their excitement at a new direction. They were getting bored, so to was Bomber. They are goi g to be fired up. Load of crap about disharmony.

I have no doubt that there is some truth to it but it might be nothing more than we preferred Sanderson not the start of a civil war.

When you make a decision, no matter how good or how bad, you are never going to get all 40 players to agree. Its only logical that some may see it as a bad decision and others as a great decision. Most will back the club though.

However, they are all professional athletes so I'm sure they will get on with the job and by the time next season comes around, any opinions will be totally forgot and they will be focused on winning.

Yeah i'm a bit skeptical as well. I hated him and his bro as players, but think this is great for the club, why would they be different. If egos are getting too big then we don't want them in the team anyway.

I think the majority would be excited and a fresh new voice to listen to, would surely be good for them. Even just new training ideas and drills and styles of play, I know if it was my footy club it would make me more interested going to training and playing. Unless he's a complete w***er, but he isn't.

It's probably just Blake crying over having to stay and play vfl :D

nothing surprising here,

if i was a veteran id be pissed sando was passed up to cos as an ex player and fellow student of thompsom it would be much easier to pass over deficiencies and poor form.

i have a feeling that scott wont be as forgiving and if that means players who arent 100% committed and dont have the motivation to improve and re invent themselves move on sooner than so be it.

i am not forgetting past heroics and glories but 2007 and 2009 efforts dont = success in 2011 onwards.

GFC is in the business of winning premierships or at least building to win them.
