Id say theres a fair chance we rookie Wright now. Stupid move if so but its looking likely"The remaining numbers will be revealed following the AFL National and Rookie Drafts next week."
Reckon that means Seedsman wants #11 but we have to wait and see if we rookie Wright?

Did you give him some encouragement?Saw Troy last night, and he didn't seem to be bogged down by the pressure.
Absolute waste of time doing that. He isn't going to get any better. He is what he is. Either he is worth having or it isn't. Putting him back on the rookie list would just delay the inevitable and hold a spot from someone who just might have a greater ceiling.
Would be one of the dumbest moves possible.
Is there a rule that says you can't have "68" or is it just the done thing now?48 or so.
In easy terms, as many players as you have on your list. (Except where we have retired 19, or Pies 42).
I reckon it must be an afl thing! Otherwise I reckon players would have all sorts of numbersIs there a rule that says you can have "68" or is it just the done thing now?
Yeah afl rule. Saw a tweet reply from someone (prob patrick keane) a way back.I reckon it must be an afl thing! Otherwise I reckon players would have all sorts of numbers
Noticed this on the AFC instagram earlier regarding Matt Crouch changing numbers.

They might be so far away that they are actually close to each other.i am not surprise Matt has decided to stay with No 44 so he can be as far away as possible from his Brother because their would get sick of each other if their had lockers next to each other.

Meh, I think 44 is a pretty crummy number personally. I don't necessarily agree with making a number "your own" because I don't personally remember a player for the number he wore, rather what he contributed to the club. Numbers don't have to be static legacies to one player. Nobody will think less of Sloane for moving from 31 to 9 for example. He's not an Edwards clone, he's forged his own identity with the number 9. Besides, I think Bock already made 44 "his own".
That said, I hope O'Brien keeps 43, and I might pretend my name is RippaReilly43 instead of the stupid name I picked nearly three years ago when I thought Aidan Riley would become a gun.
And I've been off with my number predictions. Only got Menzel right so far and was one off with Gore.
#44 has been worn by an all Australian, so it can't be that bad!Meh, I think 44 is a pretty crummy number personally. West AdelaideThroughout his whole career at both Adelaide and Hawthorn, Rehn wore the #52 guernsey, and holds the record for the most games wearing that number.48 or so.

Rehn was an inaugural Crows player, where we had 52 list spots.Throughout his whole career at both Adelaide and Hawthorn, Rehn wore the #52 guernsey, and holds the record for the most games wearing that number.
Greg Anderson was all Australian#44 has been worn by an all Australian, so it can't be that bad!
It has had more success than #1!
