Snoop Dog doesn't seem to be around so I thought I'd take up the task
Didak- Thought he managed to work his way into the game pretty well. Smith kept him quiet early but Dids got better as the game went on. A couple of uncharacteristic turnovers by foot but overall, given Didak's record with taggers, you'd take 24 disposals and a goal every time.
Toovey- Good game from the Toov, even showed a bit of composure with the ball.
Johnson- Played his link up role well last night although not as damaging as earlier in the year.
Reid- Very good game. While he didn't get as much of the ball as last week he was excellent defensively, gave White a bath. Took some good marks going back with the flight as well.
Dick- Did his shoulder unfortunately, looked lively otherwise. There were two occasions when he should've just kicked the goal though, instead of looking to give it off.
Dawes- Good early then trailed off a bit. He's starting to use his size a bit more to outbody defenders and get front position. He made in effort to make the ball in his hands last night, which was a good sign.
Thomas- We've come to expect this from Thomas every week and he keeps delivering. Playing the wingmans role excpetionally, plenty of run and link up work.
Swan- Another good game from Swanny. Didn't seem to play as much midfield last night but showed his versatility by going to a hbf and still racking up the stats.
Jolly- His best game for us. His ruckwork was good, you could tell he had it all over Pyke and probably broke even with Mumford. Looked dangerous up forward as well.
Beams- Watching the game I thought he was quiet but just checked and he had 23 disposals, a solid game.
Shaw- Wallsy had him BOG but those two slipups prevented him getting BOG in my eyes. From memory made one or two other dumb mistakes as well. I'm probably being too harsh as overall he was good and certainly much better than the last two weeks.
O'Brien- Outstanding first quarter, that goal...wow. Was a bit loose on O'Keefe at times, who kicked 3. Provided great run from the backline all night.
Brown- Shocking early but got better as the game went on. He uses his bulk and thats why he's in the team.
Davis- Had a shocker. Enough said.
Ball- Very good. 9 tackles and 9 clearances, doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing.
Pendlebury- Good all night. Not as prolific as other weeks but showed his class and composure whenever he got the ball.
Wellingham- Didn't notice him all that much. His defesnive side often gets questioned but I noticed I couple of really good defensive efforts last night.
Prestigiacomo- Smashed Goodes whenever he was in the forward 50, gave him absolutely nothing.
Sidebottom- Very good. He reads the ball so well off the packs and his goal sense is uncanny. You'd love two Steele's, one up forward for his crumbing and goal sense and one in the midfield where he can utilise his excellent field kciking.
Lockyer- Very quiet game last night.
Cloke- A typical Cloke game. Good early, a couple of goals, works hard all night and a sprayed set shot. Pretty handy but I'd like to think Cloke can lift his 'typical' game by another 20%.
Goldsack- Quiet but did his job. His strengths are his tackling and spoiling(when he gets a run at it) and showed that a couple of times last night. I want him in the side but he's probably the logical omission for Maxwell.
