The thing that turned me off Steele in the end was that he was named on the Bench in a side that had Coniglio and Hoskin-Elliott as emergencies. If either of those two get a game (which they should, especially Coniglio) Steele will probably be the first to make way unless he dominates early

McCarthy, he's older and is one of only two small forwards on Geelongs list
Once he peaks in price dump him though as he is injury prone.

On Barlow vs Dahlhaus
Barlow has a way higher ceiling and scoring ability, but his durability hasn't been great the last 3 years.
Dahlhaus has much better durability, but I'm not sure on his role this year due to Libba coming back and Crameri being suspended, it may push him forward more, he really should've been a straight mid though, lucky he's still a forward.
I think Ross said Barlow would be used in the guts more this season, so pick Barlow and hope for 2015 Swannie type output

Rockliff or Pendles.. can't have both. If I have pendles got about $30k left, if Rocky, obviously more but it seems too much to have in the kitty. I've locked GAJ in.. its a risk I am willing to take, but can't decide whether Pendles will be off half back more which I saw happened during NAB and whether Rocky is 100%

Pendles played behind the ball against the Cats last season (round 20-21?) for 142 points - will rack it up wherever he plays IMO. Probably priced at about what he'll average for the year, though, so his price will drop a little early doors.
Hard to go past Rocky at his price - significantly underpriced compared to what we know he can do. Some concerns about his return from injury, but worth the risk in RDT I reckon.
