Who, on our list, needs a big year in 2010. Any reasons accepted, could be trading, proving themselves, media pressure etc.

I'll Start....

Addam Maric-Came to the club with bug wraps but has done nowhere near enough. Yes, he has been injured, but he's played his fair share of games since he was drafted; and he's been a massive dissapointment. Was meant to have an incredible kick but hasn't shown it as of yet. Will be competing with Wonna, Petterd, Tapscott, Bate etc. for a HFF/FP spot and he needs a massive year with at least 30, should he play about 20. If he doesnt, GC could be a likely destination with a 2nd round pick likely compinsation.

Daniel Bell-Lots of calls to be delisted by many fans, but myself i think he's got something. First round pick who has been stricken with injuries. He obviously cares about the club (as seen by his face when he did his shoulder and the look of not anguish, but a bloke about to burst into tears who was trying to prove himself but just wasn't being allowed to perform thanks to his body). Needs to play at least 11 games and if he doesn't perform than it's curtains and a delisting.

Rohan Bail-It's unfortunate that he's only had about a minute on the park, but we're reaching a window and we need to know if Bail is worth carrying. It's harsh to say this but he needs at least 8 games next year (in a row preferably) so we can see what he can do. Needs to impress because depending on where we finish, there may not be a spot for him. Make or break for Rohan in 2010!

Michael Newton/John Meesen-Earn promotion mid year/in the VFL or theyre gone. Simple as that really.

Maric is the main one I would like to see have a big year.

But going on the guys who risk being delisted next year Johnson, Bell and Bail would need to pull something out of a hat..

Bartram and Dunn wouldnt want average years.

Newton and Hughes could free up the rookie spots if they dont improve drastically.

PJ, Miller, Bell, Bail, Bartram, Cheeny and Dunn will all need to do a bit this year to be retain or kept off the trade table.

From the rookie list Hughes, Spencer, Healy, Newton and Meesen will all need to play AFL football to retain a spot.

I have a feeling that Juice might just get in the pants he needs to get things back on track.

Brad miller, johnson, jamar, bartram, dunn. a few of the more established players certainly not guaranteed a spot in the 22 when the list improves, dare say there will be a bit of competition with the blokes this year, all for the positive of the club!

I don't see how you can call Maric a massive disappointment.

Season 1: Had school all year and so had reduced training time. Managed to play very good football at VFL level, playing as a midfielder and forward and rack up possessions and would have kicked a few goals. Made his debut, played 5 games and did some nice things. For a young guy still at school it was a reasonable season.

Season 2: Started off with hip surgery that ruined any chance of a good preseason. Worked his way into the team, played 6 matches, with a couple of average performances but also some nice ones. He impressed me over in the west against the eagles, and also against the saints at carrara with uncompromised attack on the footy at one stage. Was sent out for shoulder surgery and seems to be having a good preseason.

I'm not saying he doesn't need an improved season and he will face competition for spots in Wona, Jetta, Petterd, Tapscott but I don't think we can be hard on him for what he's delivered so far. Also Maric and the 4 I just mentioned will be after midfield spots as well.

The great thing about next year will be as long as we don't have a massive year of injuries the competition for spots across the ground will be much improved. In the last 2 years unless you were Shane Valenti a couple of decent VFL performances got you a game due to the guys at AFL level battling.

I agree re. Sylvia. We can't just accept one good year out of him.

Hughes definitely needs a very big 2010. This will be his fourth year as a rookie. That's almost in record territory. He's never looked close to getting a game in the seniors.

Trengove & Scully if they can't pull together 20 fantastic games
And 35+ possessions each week time to cut them lose. Might be a little bit lenient i know, but it has to be done.

Daniel Hughes- Has had his chances, if he can not break into the senior side this year it's time go.

PJ- With Jamar, Martin and Gawn in development, PJ needs a massive season to earn a spot on the list in 2011.

Jake Spencer Same as PJ.

Rhys Healey- Can't see him ever breaking into the senior side and will not factor into the 2010 team.

Brad Miller Really needs to kick some bags this year or else it's game over for miller. If GC17 pick him up we require all their first round pics as compensation for losing Pia Miller.

Disappointing maybe a little.

After seeing him around the traps a few times, since I live n the same area as him I would say that arrogance is a big problem of his.

A couple of times I have heard him telling his mates how some of our players are average or crap, which is funny considering he hasn't cemeted a spot in the team himself

What area is that???

Maybe he should of spent some time at one of the senior players houses...
or
Time in the ring with Moloney...

None of the players should be getting ahead of themselves, leave that to us supporters!!!!!!!!:D

You're kidding right! He's a gun, he will progress again in 2010. Can't believe out of all the players on our list you pick Sylvia. Hughes, juice, Meeson, need a MASSIVE year, am over them!!

It's actually a very good call.

Col needs to prove that he has well and truly finally arrived and is here to stay.

Bitch slap him for me for being seen at either venue......
