Not sure if these are the real numbers, but it is interesting to see the new recruits have such high numbers. Also Wonaeamirri has changed numbers

They do seem a bit strange.

9 and 13 staying vacant. Also not sure why Stef Martin would change from 33 to 34? Ditto Wonaeamirri down to 33?

And 46 and 47 being used? Really strange.

Blease is my new favourite player if he really is wearing #46. I'm a sucker for ludicrously high numbers. When was the last time we had anybody above 45 who actually got a game?

Bring back the days of players in the 50's. I'm proud to say that despite never playing a game I spent a year listed in the Amateurs lists as being #68.

They probably have the option of improving their numbers in due time as a result of performance but i don't know why you'd change Aussie's number considering how he's been marketed and the popularity he's received from the kids. You're better off with him creating a name for himself in the #39 than following Farmer in the #33.

what about everyone who still has their #33 jumpers from 2000 ie. me. this is the greatest news ever as far as i'm concerned

I am hoping Aussie turns into a Byron Pickett!

I actually liked Aussie at #39 he kind of made it his own number but I guess (as another poster said) they're only numbers at the end of the day.

It's a bit strange that they took such high numbers when 13, 17 and 28 are available. But i guess they are just numbers....

I hope Jurrah takes #17.:thumbsu:

I can understand why 9 & 13 would be retired for 2009, but 17 & 28??

Surely Strauss 17, Blease 28....(they were their U18s Vic Metro numbers too i think)

46 & 47, makes em' look like the old supplementary list players :D

They are just numbers it doesnt effect how they play.

chuck on 99 on cousins. im just putting it out there ,dont think you will see much difference.

im happy with our current list with the position our club is in.

our list is not a premiership list but does have some depth to get us out of the kitchen and ditch the wooden spoon.
