Does anyone on this board have a Playstation 2 ?
If so,are they any good.

From what i've seen of them they are unbelieveable! definately worth getting if you have the cash!

Why wouldn't they? You can copy anything onto a CD. That is of course assuming that you have a burner.

And then you have to get a chip anyway!

can you use burners to burn DVD's, cause i read that the PS2 games are on DVD disks, not CD roms

Yea Playstation 2 games are on DVD.

DVD burners cost like 2 grand lol, and to buy a blank DVD it costs like 50 bucks (I think)
Very expensive.

Th reason they are on DVD is, better sound, graphics, and a DVD can hold somethin like 1-4 GB

QT, I just found an Australian site that were selling DVD Burners for over 8,000 Bucks!

Also, the PSX 2 games are NOT, yes NOT, on DVD discs!!!!
Simply because the discs are (as you mentioned) so f*cking expensive and the games would be some out of reach price!. They MIGHT put SOME of the games on DVD (ie- FF10) but for now they are on normal CD-ROM's.

Yep I got one JUBJUB and I'd certainly encourage you to get one, it's a lot of fun. It's much more than just a games system and in the future there will be peripherals available allowing you to go on the internet and play online against other gamers. The PSX2 is great value, and I'd certainly avoid a Gamecube, though the X Box might be an option.

Yeah, it costs them the price of printing and shipping to put out. They don't update anything but the shirts and player lists, so it's basically like a vaguely different looking 07. What a rad contraption this ps2 is!
