I’ve been playing this, getting my ass handed to me in MyCareer and ghee whiz progression is slow.

Can barely win a game on normal mode and I’m facing opponents twice the stats to me. Very grindy and tough.

Also enjoying Top Spin. Nice learning curve as compared to many tennis games which are just way too easy. On the highest difficulty, took a while to find a groove but now not losing at all. Quite rewarding to build your way up through - apart from the weird progression system that basically forces you to be top 5 in the rankings before getting to play a single grand slam.

Mentioned it in the current games played thread but I was excited and purchased the Xbox version during a sale a little while after the original release. Forgetting that they based the gameplay on Top Spin 4 (I was excellent at TS 2, decent at 3.... sucked at 4 though lol). Shelved it out of frustration until a few weeks ago. Started playing AO Tennis 2 again, which inspired me to buy Big Ants Tie Break Tennis. Somehow TBT got me more used to Top Spins game play.

I'm decent at it, stuck on very hard (AI just bombs it back constantly vs my weak player). But still compete OK online.

After fully leveling the coach I stopped focusing on the 70% average good game play. Most of my shots are good or perfect with a few too soons or too lates. I try to be a smart arse and shorten points at the net where I can.

I've noticed that occasionally regardless of difficulty and your % energy level pre match, the AI can get started on a blinder and be near impossible to stop.... for the first game, then they roll over like Bernard Tomic, it's wild.



EDIT - ON TOPIC

For all of the mocking of me buying the same game across multiple platforms........... I've saved a bundle by playing a lot of the free games (well free via the subscriptions) on both Xbox and Playstaation over the years... I mean THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in value.

Holy shit Blue Prince is addictive and fun. Learning so much.

The ****ing Boiler Room puzzle will be the death of me though. Spent 45 mins and reading through multiple YouTube walkthroughs and still couldn’t solve it. Hoping it’s not a game breaker for me as would like to keep going

Have you
seen both the memos? One tells you how to get to purple & white, and another shows you the correct solution.

Will be impossible without those pieces of info. With them, it's just trial and error.

i have the one with the solution. Purple was easy enough to get, i didn't realise there was a second one. Will go back once i find out how to get white i guess

They're in the same place - two separate emails in the office. One says the code, another explains how to get white.
 
I was talking about Blue Prince to a colleague at work today and it was only upon saying it out loud that I realised the wordplay of the name of the game. :drunk:
