I need some help here, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good book about the basics of AFL, you know, basically outlining the way our game is played, rules and stuff like that. I would really appreciate any leads!!!!!! Thanks.

Go to Melbourne Sports Books where you should be able to find the footy book you need.

Um, I'm not too sure of their address (they moved about a couple of months ago), but if you give directory assistance a call and ask for their number, give them a ring and they'll let you know where they are.

Spidergirl was half right. If you visit the AFL site they will be able to point you to the afl state development officer in each state. They have developed packs with rules, techniques of marking, kicking etc. for anyone who is interested. You won't have to pretend to be a school kid. Its their job to help promote the game. They also have a set of coaching clinics to help parents or anyone interested in learning more about the game. You can also ask when the next clinic will be held and where?
